Role Purpose As Associate, Social Media, you will help shape how audiences around the world experience LA28 across every major social platform in the years leading up to the Games. Collaborating closely with the Digital Content team, you will develop original content, craft platform-specific copy, and manage day-to-day community engagement, translating creative concepts into content that genuinely resonates. You will help define the creative approach and editorial voice for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging channels. This is hands-on, high-energy creative work that combines real ownership with visible, measurable impact on a historic Olympic and Paralympic Games. Key Responsibilities Develop content ideas and partner with the Digital Content team to pitch and deliver creative concepts across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other channels. Manage community engagement across all social platforms, monitoring mentions, comments, and direct messages. Craft platform-specific copy that stays true to brand voice while fitting the conventions of each channel. Support content production, including photography, b-roll capture, video editing, and asset management. Track content performance, executing metadata and tag management and drawing on data insights platforms to evaluate results. Required Competencies 3+ years of experience creating content for social media across major platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Strong photo and video editing skills, with particular strength in in-platform video editing for Instagram and TikTok. Genuine, demonstrated interest in sports, pop culture, the Los Angeles community, and the wider digital media landscape. Skilled copywriting that adapts the brand voice to the tone, format, and conventions of each social platform. Hands-on experience managing day-to-day community engagement and social listening, from mentions and comments to direct messages. Valued Experience Hands-on experience editing short-form video for TikTok and Instagram Reels. Familiarity with social analytics and content scheduling tools. Photography or b-roll capture experience for original content. Active interest in the Los Angeles sports and cultural scene. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office. The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment. The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment. Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods. Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Able to travel to different locations across the Los Angeles area to capture content. Compensation The annual base salary range for this position is $70,500 - $82,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28's operational business needs and applicable law.
