Your next giant leap starts here. Responsibilities Create engaging, on-brand content for Purdue for Life Foundation social media accounts, focusing on Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. Brainstorm, script, storyboard, film, and edit short-form video content. Collaborate with the social media lead and marketing and communications team on the review and approval process, and refine content based on feedback. Publish approved videos according to a content schedule, and monitor for engagement. Stay up to date on trending social media topics, sounds, and formats to make content relevant and shareable. Respond to direct messages and comments in a timely and professional manner. Use Sprout Social to schedule content, check messages, and report on performance metrics. Perform additional social media projects as assigned. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Strong understanding of Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X Experience filming and editing video content for social media using native apps or editing software Creative mindset with the ability to turn ideas into polished, shareable content Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable appearing and speaking on camera Ability to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and adherence to brand guidelines Knowledge of the culture and community of Purdue for Life and Purdue University Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) Ability to work outdoors Ability to work 10 to 15 hours per week in a hybrid environment Required Education, Experience and Benefits Summary Experience with creating social media content is required.
