Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a creative, organized, and highly motivated social media & digital content coordinator to join the marketing team at Saddleback. This full-time, year-round position is responsible for administering the resort's social media presence, creating compelling digital content, and helping tell the story of Saddleback across all digital platforms. The ideal candidate is passionate about outdoor recreation, understands social media trends and platform best practices, and has hands-on experience creating high-quality photo and video content for brands. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical skill, organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment that changes with the seasons and weather conditions. Key Responsibilities Social Media Administration Administer and maintain Saddleback's social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and others. Develop and execute social media content calendars aligned with marketing goals, events, promotions, and seasonal campaigns Write engaging social copy that reflects the resort's brand voice and community culture Monitor social channels daily and engage with guests through comments and messages Track trends, platform updates, and emerging content opportunities Monitor analytics and prepare performance reports with recommendations for growth and engagement Content Creation Capture dynamic photos and video content across the resort, including skiing, snowboarding, events, dining, and year-round activities Produce short-form video content optimized for social media platforms Edit and deliver high-quality digital assets for social media, web, email marketing, and advertising campaigns Coordinate and execute content shoots with athletes, guests, staff, and partners Maintain organized digital asset libraries and archives Marketing & Brand Support Assist with broader marketing initiatives and campaigns Collaborate with departments across the resort to support events, promotions, and operational communications Help maintain brand consistency across digital channels Support website and digital marketing updates as needed Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field, plus at least 2 years of experience managing social media accounts for a brand, business, agency, or organization. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. Demonstrated experience creating engaging content for social media platforms Strong understanding of platform best practices, trends, and analytics Experience with photography, videography, and digital content editing Proficiency with content creation and editing tools Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays (during winter season), and during resort events when needed Strong communication, organization, and time management skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team Passion for skiing, snowboarding, mountain culture, and outdoor recreation preferred Preferred Qualifications Experience working in tourism, hospitality, outdoor recreation, or ski industry Experience with drone photography/videography and FAA Part 107 certification Familiarity with paid social media advertising Basic graphic design experience Compensation & Benefits Full-time, year-round employment Competitive salary based on experience, and performance Health and wellness benefits Retirement, 401K w/ a generous company vesting & match Paid time off and holidays Ski pass and resort privileges Opportunities for professional development and growth within the ski/hospitality industry
