Job Description

The Associate Content Manager at Signal Theory must be knowledgeable in community engagement, social calendar management and content publishing. The Associate Content Manager works closely with peers within the Content discipline to manage the day-to-day social presence across a portfolio of brands, engaging directly with audiences and keeping content organized, on-brand and on schedule. The Associate Content Manager reports to the Senior Content Manager. The Associate Content Manager is responsible for:
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Monitor and respond to community engagement across a portfolio of client brands' owned social channels, engaging with brand tone and guidelines in mind Identify and engage with suitable conversations our brands aren't mentioned or tagged in (proactive community engagement), as well as reactive opportunities where they are, to build brand affinity and strengthen audience relationships Flag sensitive or high-risk community interactions to senior team members and clients as needed Keep a record of all community engagement interactions as well as their performance to inform monthly and quarterly reports Track community trends, conversations and sentiment across brands to inform senior peers of emerging opportunities or risks
CALENDAR MANAGEMENT & PUBLISHING
Build and maintain social content calendars across multiple clients and where they activate, including Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, X, Snapchat and other platforms as needed QA all content prior to and following publishing for accuracy, brand consistency and adherence to platform best practices Publish approved content across channels on schedule, coordinating with senior peers on timing and sequencing Maintain organized documentation of content approvals, publishing schedules and asset libraries
SUPPORT & COLLABORATION
Assist senior peers in compiling performance reporting - translating raw data into digestible updates for internal and external teams Support social activations, influencer programs and campaign launches with hands-on execution Partner with the Content Creation team to ensure assets are delivered on time and align with the approved calendar Bring emerging platform features, trends and community insights to senior peers to inform strategy The requirements and experience the Associate Content Manager will need to have include: 1-3 years of professional experience, with 1+ years engaging users on social media on behalf of a brand Familiarity and comfort with social media platforms including Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, X, Snapchat and other emerging platforms Strong attention to detail and ability to navigate multiple clients and team priorities with ease Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation experience Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Ability to work collaboratively within a team, understanding how to navigate interdepartmental projects and add value to team outputs Ambitious in keeping up with the industry and educating on best practices to internal and external teams Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while delivering with a high degree of impeccability The preferred qualifications of the Associate Content Manager include: Some agency experience Experience in B2C and B2B is a plus, including a creative mindset to navigating B2B challenges, regulatory concerns (if/when applicable), and stakeholder management Knowledge of social media activation tools like Sprout, Sprinklr, Infegy, Hoosuite, Meltwater, BrandWatch, Rival IQ, Metricool or similar Experience in supporting UGC/influencers programs Experience working with subject-matter and channel experts as well as other advertising and marketing disciplines, including Creative, Analytics, Web/Digital Experience Development, Media and PR
