Leading podcast and audiobook company (Newark, NJ 07102 - Onsite) W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL 40 hours/week, 9 Month Assignment (With possibility of extension) A leading podcast and audiobook company is seeking a Content Coordinator I to support catalog operations by managing digital content ingestion, metadata accuracy, asset workflows, and stakeholder requests, ensuring digital products are released accurately and on time while maintaining high-quality metadata, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and leveraging AI-enabled tools to improve operational workflows.
Content Coordinator I Responsibilities:
Monitor digital asset deliveries, validate metadata and content assets, process ingestion workflows, and ensure timely release of catalog content. Manage metadata updates, product corrections, cancellations, and provider requests while maintaining accuracy and meeting established service-level agreements. Coordinate ticket queues, prioritize incoming requests, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external content providers to resolve issues efficiently. Maintain process documentation and leverage AI-powered tools to improve workflow automation, operational efficiency, and stakeholder communication. Support cross-functional teams by ensuring catalog integrity, troubleshooting content issues, and identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement.
Content Coordinator I Qualifications:
1 year of experience in editorial, publishing, digital content operations, or a web-based publishing environment with CMS and metadata management. Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Degree in Humanities or a related field is preferred. Experience working with content management systems (CMS), metadata, and digital asset workflows. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Experience managing stakeholder relationships, collaborating across departments, and working with external partners. Experience using ticketing systems and maintaining process documentation. Familiarity with
ONIX XML
metadata standards is preferred. Experience with AI tools, data products, or workflow automation is preferred. Experience with Jira, Airtable, or similar project management platforms is preferred. Familiarity with Agile methodologies is preferred. Passion for digital media, publishing, books, podcasts, or other online content is preferred.
