Overview The Social Media and Content Coordinator will lead ARF's day-to-day presence on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and emerging platforms. This is a hands-on, in-person role in East Hampton. You'll develop strategy, photograph and film animals, create and edit videos, write compelling copy, publish content, engage with our community, cover events, and track what works. You'll work throughout our East Hampton campus with our Marketing, Development, Adoptions, Animal Care, Medical, Training, Volunteer, and Events teams and report to the Director of Marketing. This is an in-person position. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage ARF's social media strategy and content calendar. Create, shoot, edit, write, and publish engaging photo and video content, including Reels, TikToks, Stories, and campaigns. Tell compelling stories about adoptable animals, new arrivals, long-term residents, medical cases, fosters, and adoption successes. Manage comments, DMs, tags, mentions, and community engagement while protecting ARF's voice and reputation. Promote fundraising campaigns, events, programs, sponsors, partners, volunteers, and community initiatives. Build relationships with influencers, creators, animal advocates, and community partners. Stay ahead of trends and use analytics to grow reach, engagement, traffic, and meaningful action. Capture real-time content at ARF events and special activities. Qualifications & Skills 2+ years of professional social media or digital marketing experience. A strong portfolio demonstrating social strategy, short-form video, photography, copywriting, and storytelling. Experience growing and managing an engaged social audience. Strong photography, videography, editing, and writing skills. Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Edits, or similar tools, plus familiarity with social media analytics. Excellent judgment, organization, creativity, and ability to move quickly. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Comfortable working with a wide range of individuals, including staff, volunteers, donors, and customers Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in fast-paced or challenging situations Commitment to animal welfare and ARF's mission Experience in animal welfare, fundraising, events, influencer partnerships, paid social, or digital marketing is a plus.
