Aircraft MD | Midwest-Based | Travel Required Starting at $25/hour | Pay Negotiable Based on Experience Aircraft MD is looking for a creative, motivated Content Creator & Social Media Manager to help build our online presence from the ground up. This is not a typical social media job. You won't be sitting behind a desk all day trying to turn stock photos into Instagram posts. You'll be around airplanes, flying with us, showing up at jobsites, and capturing the work as it actually happens.
The goal is simple:
Make people see what we do and think, "That's badass." You'll help tell the story of Aircraft MD through photography, videography, short-form content, long-form video, social media, and creative storytelling. What You'll Do Travel to aircraft maintenance jobs and capture photo and video content Ride along on flights and maintenance trips to document the operation Capture aircraft, maintenance work, job sites, people, and the environments surrounding them Participate in small-aircraft flights and, when appropriate, air-to-air photography and videography Plan creative shots and sequences rather than simply pointing a camera at whatever is happening Turn raw footage into compelling short-form videos for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms Produce longer-form YouTube content and mini-documentary style videos Photograph aircraft and maintenance work for use across our website, social media, advertising, and other marketing Help develop recurring content concepts, series, and stories Manage Aircraft MD's social media profiles and maintain a consistent brand image Monitor what is working and adjust content based on engagement and audience response Help showcase aviation as a career and industry worth getting excited about Capture the people and stories behind the business, not just the airplanes What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is creative, dependable, curious, and willing to work. You don't need to have ten years of experience. If you're relatively new to content creation but have a good eye, understand what makes a video interesting, and are willing to learn and put in the work, we'd like to hear from you. We're especially interested in people who: Have experience with photography, videography, video editing, or social media Understand pacing, composition, lighting, sound, and storytelling Can turn ordinary footage into something people actually want to watch Have a strong sense of what looks and feels good on social media Are comfortable working around airplanes and in active work environments Are willing to travel for jobs Can work independently without needing constant direction Are organized enough to manage content from filming through publishing Take pride in their work and are willing to improve Can handle both the creative side and the less glamorous parts of the job Aviation experience is not required . Neither is an extensive professional portfolio. What matters more is your ability to learn, your willingness to work, and whether you have an instinct for creating content that makes people stop scrolling. The Kind of Content We Want to Create We don't want to make another aviation account full of random airplane pictures and generic maintenance posts. We want to make stories. A mechanic working on an aircraft in the middle of a remote field. A service airplane flying across the country to meet an aircraft that needs help. Air-to-air footage of an airplane flying over the Midwest. A turbine inspection from start to finish. A day in the life of an aircraft mechanic. The reality of keeping an aircraft flying. The people who make aviation happen. Some videos may be thirty seconds. Others may be fifteen minutes. The common thread is that they should make someone stop scrolling and want to see what happens next. This Job Will Put You Around Airplanes Depending on the job, you'll have opportunities to travel, fly in small aircraft, visit airports and remote airstrips, work around maintenance operations, and capture aviation from perspectives most people never see. Air-to-air photography and videography will be part of the job when conditions, aircraft, and operations allow. Safety and professional conduct come first. We're working around real aircraft and real maintenance operations, so knowing when to get the shot — and when to put the camera down — matters.
Compensation Starting pay:
$25/hour. Pay is negotiable based on experience, skill level, portfolio, and what you can bring to the position. We're open to someone who is just getting started. If you have the right attitude and are willing to put in the work, there is room to grow with the position as Aircraft MD grows. Why This Position Exists Aircraft MD is building more than a maintenance company. We're redefining the industry with a brand around aviation, aircraft maintenance, and the people who keep airplanes flying. The right person will have a significant role in shaping how that story is told. If you want a job where you're sitting at a computer all day, this probably isn't it. If you want to fly in airplanes, travel, create things, learn aviation, and build a media presence from the ground up , we'd like to hear from you. Apply with your resume and, if available, examples of your photography, videography, editing, or social media work.
