Overview Do you love creating TikToks, Reels, aesthetic photos, or UGC? Your phone could be your next creative tool. Calen is a growing lifestyle and self-care brand based in the Houston/Katy area, creating candles, body products, home fragrance, car fragrances, and products designed to make everyday routines feel a little better. We're looking for a creative, reliable Content Creator / UGC Creator to help us capture the real moments behind the brand, from farmers markets and pop-ups to product demos, behind-the-scenes content, and customer reactions. You don't need years of experience. You need a good eye, creativity, reliability, and a phone that can capture great content. This is a flexible, project-based opportunity that's especially suited for a college student, aspiring creator, UGC creator, photographer/videographer, or anyone looking to build a stronger content portfolio. Responsibilities Attend occasional farmers markets, pop-ups, and brand events to capture photo and video content Film customers shopping, interacting with products, and sharing reactions or testimonials when permission is provided Capture behind-the-scenes content including market setup, product preparation, packing, and day-to-day brand activities Create UGC-style content featuring yourself using and demonstrating Calen products Capture product and lifestyle photos/videos for Instagram, TikTok, Reels, Shorts, and other marketing Follow provided shot lists and creative direction. Upload and organize raw footage after each shoot Editing is not required. Our existing editor will turn the raw footage into finished content. Qualifications Naturally notice good lighting, angles, compositions, and interesting moments Spend time on TikTok or Instagram and understand what makes short-form content engaging Are comfortable filming with a smartphone Are comfortable occasionally appearing on camera Can politely and confidently interact with customers Are dependable and can show up for scheduled shoots in the Houston/Katy area Can take creative direction while also bringing your own ideas Want to build experience and examples for your content portfolio Professional content experience is NOT required. Professional content creation experience is not required . Students and newer creators are encouraged to apply. If you've created TikToks, Reels, UGC, photography, school projects, personal content, or anything else creative, we'd love to see it. Schedule & Compensation $50 per content session to start Approximately 1-1.5 hours per session Approximately 2-4 sessions per month initially Flexible, project-based scheduling rather than a fixed weekly schedule Some sessions will be product/UGC shoots Other sessions may take place at farmers markets, pop-ups, or local brand events Opportunities for increased rates and additional recurring work based on performance and shoot requirements How to Apply Please submit: Your resume Links or examples of content you've created, if available Your examples can include: TikTok, Instagram, UGC, photography, video, school projects, personal content, social media pages You do not need a professional portfolio to apply.
