This is a contract position based in Berkeley, California and is ideal for someone who enjoys storytelling, social media, podcasts, and wants to help build something meaningful from the ground up. What You'll Do Attend podcast recordings in person at my Berkeley office (typically every other week). Help set up and operate video equipment during each recording. Work with me to determine the best camera, lighting, and audio setup as we continue improving the production quality. Edit each episode into engaging vertical content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. Create multiple clips from each podcast that are optimized for engagement and sharing. Add captions, graphics, and simple motion effects where appropriate. Help identify the most compelling moments from each conversation that deserve to become standalone content. Who I'm Looking For You don't need years of experience. You do need creativity, reliability, curiosity, and an eye for what makes people stop scrolling.

Ideal qualifications include:

Experience creating short form social media videos. Familiarity with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar editing software. An understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Someone who enjoys collaborating and contributing ideas rather than simply taking instructions. Students and early-career creators are encouraged to apply if they have a strong portfolio and a desire to learn. Compensation Approximately $40 per hour. Typical engagement is one podcast recording approximately every other week. Compensation typically ranges from $250 to $350 per podcast, depending on experience, responsibilities, and the scope of the project. Additional projects and responsibilities may become available as the podcast grows. About Me I'm Declan Spring, founder of and host of The East Bay Real Estate Podcast. I've been helping buyers and sellers throughout the East Bay for more than two decades and I'm now investing in creating one of the region's most trusted real estate media platforms. This role starts with producing outstanding short form content from each podcast episode. Over time, I hope it grows into something much bigger. I'm not simply looking for someone to edit videos. I'm looking for someone who gets excited about building something exceptional together.
