Job Description

Who We Are Upstate Power House is an indoor softball and baseball training facility built by former collegiate athletes, for athletes. We're a women-owned, community-driven facility in Duncan, SC — right off I-85 — serving youth and adult players across Spartanburg, Greenville, Greer, and Boiling Springs. We have HitTrax, professional batting cages, private lessons, and a brand that already has the bones. What we need now is someone to help tell our story. What We're Looking For We're not hiring a social media manager who schedules stock photos. We want a creator — someone who walks into a batting cage, sees a story, and already has their phone out. You played ball. Or you love it. Either way, you get it. You'll be on-site a few hours a week capturing content — athletes grinding, HitTrax data dropping, coaches coaching. You'll turn that raw footage into Reels, Stories, and posts that make people in Upstate SC feel like they're missing out if they're not training here. What You'll Do up to the facility 2-3x per week to capture photo and video content Shoot and edit short-form video (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) Write captions that sound like a real human, not a marketing department Help build and maintain a consistent posting rhythm across Instagram and Facebook Collaborate with the owner directly — this is a tight-knit operation What You Need A portfolio — show us content you've already made. Sports content is a huge plus Proficiency in short-form video editing (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci, or whatever you use) Understanding of Instagram and TikTok natively — you use these platforms, you don't just manage them A baseball or softball background, OR genuine passion for athletic content Reliability — if you say you'll be there, you're there What You Get 1099 contract, flexible hours — this works around your schedule Facility access (batting cages, gym, HitTrax) Content that actually gets seen — we have an engaged local audience and a growing brand Ground-floor opportunity — if you grow this with us, the role grows with you Creative ownership — we want your ideas, not just your execution
To Apply:
Send us three things: 1. A short intro — who you are and why this fits 2. Links to content you've created (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, whatever — just show us your work) 3. Your resume
