Minimum 3 days per week on-site in White Plains, with additional on-site days as business needs require About the Opportunity A large, established organization is seeking a Social Media Content Creator & Publisher to support its communications and digital engagement initiatives. This is a hands-on content role for someone who has professional experience creating, writing, publishing, and measuring social media content on behalf of a company, organization, agency, or established brand.
What You'll Do:
Develop engaging social media content, including written posts, graphics, photos, and short-form video. Write clear, concise, audience-appropriate copy for platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X . Adapt messaging, tone, format, and creative approach based on the platform and target audience. Create content that supports organizational initiatives, campaigns, events, announcements, and brand awareness. Maintain brand voice and visual consistency across social channels.
Publishing & Content Management:
Maintain and manage social media content calendars. Schedule and publish approved content using social media management platforms. Coordinate content around campaigns, events, announcements, and organizational priorities. Review content carefully for accuracy, grammar, formatting, brand consistency, and timing before publication. Manage multiple content deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
Community Management:
Monitor social media channels for comments, questions, messages, and emerging conversations. Support positive and professional audience engagement. Identify and escalate comments, inquiries, or issues that require additional review or response.
Analytics & Optimization:
Track social media performance, including engagement, reach, impressions, clicks, audience growth, and other relevant KPIs. Review content performance to identify trends and opportunities. Use analytics to recommend adjustments to content, timing, format, and messaging. Assist with recurring social media performance reporting.
Collaboration:
Partner with communications, marketing, creative, and internal business teams to develop social content. Gather information and creative assets from internal stakeholders. Coordinate content reviews and approvals prior to publication. Manage revisions and feedback while keeping projects on schedule. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related field. 1-5 years of professional social media content creation and publishing experience. Professional experience managing social media content for a company, organization, agency, government entity, nonprofit, or established brand . Demonstrated experience writing social copy for multiple platforms, particularly LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and/or X. Experience creating social graphics and visual content using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable design tools . Experience creating and/or editing short-form video content for social media. Hands-on experience with a social media management or publishing platform such as Meltwater, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or a comparable tool . Experience maintaining content calendars and scheduling social media posts. Working knowledge of social media analytics and the ability to interpret performance metrics. Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Portfolio Requirement Candidates should be prepared to provide examples of professional social media work. Personal social media accounts alone will not substitute for professional content creation experience. #IND123
