Position Overview We are seeking a Web Content Manager to develop and maintain accurate, accessible content for DEA public-facing websites. You will turn source material into useful web content and coordinate editorial reviews across government contributors and the digital team. Key Responsibilities Research, write, edit, and publish web pages, drug-awareness information, campaign materials, and related presentations. Manage editorial reviews, fact-checking, approvals, scheduled updates, and consistent content across multiple websites. Prepare accessible headings, links, image descriptions, alt text, and downloadable content; address copyright and privacy requirements. Use Drupal or other CMS tools, HTML, and web graphics to present content clearly on desktop and mobile devices. Review analytics, identify outdated content and broken links, recommend improvements, and contribute to monthly/quarterly reports and task-level time records. Coordinate graphics, social content, and approved translations with contributors and other specialists. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or mass communication. Experience in production management, web page design, HTML, and web graphics formats and standards. General understanding of Drupal and other content management systems. Strong writing, editing, proofreading, research, and organizational skills; ability to coordinate contributors and meet deadlines. Ability to develop web Preferred Qualifications Previous editorial/web experience and experience with education, public information, or drug-awareness and prevention content. What Success Looks Like Web content is accurate, current, accessible, and easy to navigate. Contributors meet editorial deadlines and approvals are documented. Content improvements help audiences find and use DEA information. Work Environment This position works primarily onsite at DEA Headquarters in Northern Virginia. Telework may be available under a government-approved plan. DEA will provide the equipment and software needed for contract performance. The final duty station will be confirmed during recruiting. Physical Demands Work primarily involves computer-based tasks, reviewing digital materials, and participating in meetings. Essential job functions may be performed with reasonable accommodation. Expected Hours of Work Full-time work, generally Monday through Friday during the government-approved work schedule. Specific daily hours will be discussed during recruiting. Travel Travel may be required if authorized for contract performance. Any specific travel expectations will be discussed during recruiting.
Employment Conditions Anticipated start:
December 1, 2026, subject to award, funding, government approval, and screening. U.S. citizenship is required by this federal contract. Work may begin only after DEA authorizes access following the required Moderate-risk public-trust review or an approved waiver. $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
