Job Description
Role Overview Intelligent Blends is seeking a Head of ECommerce to lead, operate, and scale our omnichannel eCommerce business across Amazon, Shopify, Walmart, Sam's Club, TikTok Shop, and our growing portfolio of marketplace and retailer.com partners. This is a highly hands-on leadership role for an experienced eCommerce operator who thrives close to the business. The role will own day-to-day performance of the company's digital business, with accountability for revenue growth, profitability, operational excellence, and team performance across an eight to nine-figure eCommerce portfolio. The Head of ECommerce will manage and work alongside a high-performing team spanning Growth Marketing, Marketplace, Retention, eCommerce Operations, and Creative, while partnering closely with the CGO to drive continued growth across digital channels. The ideal candidate is a driven, experienced eCommerce operator who combines strong leadership with a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality. They are equally comfortable setting strategy, reviewing a P&L, diagnosing an Amazon performance issue, identifying a Shopify conversion opportunity, reviewing advertising performance, managing a launch, or jumping into the details with the team to get an important initiative across the finish line. Our team operates alongside a growing ecosystem of AI tools and AI agents that accelerate reporting, analysis, forecasting, campaign management, and operational execution. We expect this role to embrace AI as part of their daily workflow while applying sound judgment and critical thinking to ensure high-quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities eCommerce Leadership & Execution Lead and actively operate the company's eCommerce business across Amazon, Shopify, Walmart Marketplace, Sam's Club, TikTok Shop, Target.com, Costco.com, Thrive Market, iHerb, and future digital channels, including:
- Own revenue growth, profitability, and contribution margin
- Work directly with channel owners to diagnose performance and drive improvements
- Maintain a detailed understanding of advertising, merchandising, conversion, retention, and marketplace performance
- Drive customer acquisition, retention, and subscription growth
- Lead pricing, promotional, assortment, merchandising strategy, and execution
- Identify opportunities and issues and work alongside the team to take action
- Drive product launches, promotions, marketplace initiatives, and growth projects
- Lead marketplace, international, and retailer.com expansion
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Retail Sales, and Executive Leadership
- Lead quarterly and annual planning, forecasting, budgeting, and business reviews Team Leadership Lead, develop, and work alongside the company's eCommerce organization by:
- Managing team members across Growth Marketing, Marketplace, Retention, eCommerce Operations, and Design
- Establishing clear priorities, KPIs, accountability, and operating rhythms
- Staying closely connected to day-to-day execution and business performance
- Reviewing work, removing roadblocks, and helping the team solve problems
- Developing and retaining top talent while building a high-performance culture
- Coaching team members and supporting organizational growth
- Creating clarity around ownership, priorities, deadlines, and expected outcomes
- Stepping directly into high-priority projects and initiatives when needed Business Operations Own operational excellence across the eCommerce organization, including:
- Weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews
- KPI dashboards, reporting, and performance analysis
- Product launches and promotional execution
- Cross-functional planning and project prioritization
- SOP development and process improvement
- Resource allocation and organizational planning
- Identification and resolution of operational bottlenecks
- Ensuring projects move quickly and effectively from strategy through execution
- Maintaining strong visibility into the details driving business performance Financial Performance Own the eCommerce P&L and actively monitor business performance across all brands and channels, including:
- Revenue, profitability, and contribution margin
- ACOS, TACOS, MER, ROAS, and advertising efficiency
- Customer acquisition, lifetime value, and subscription growth
- Conversion rate optimization, AOV, and merchandising performance
- Forecasting, inventory planning, and in-stock performance
- Pricing and promotional effectiveness
- Channel and product-level economics Partner closely with Finance to improve forecasting accuracy, investment decisions, resource allocation, and long-term unit economics. AI & Operational Innovation Champion and actively use AI across the eCommerce organization by:
- Incorporating AI tools and internal AI agents into daily workflows
- Encouraging teams to leverage AI to improve speed, analysis, execution, and decision-making
- Identifying opportunities to automate repetitive work and improve operational efficiency
- Building scalable processes that combine AI efficiency with thoughtful human oversight
- Applying critical thinking and business judgment to AI-generated analysis and recommendations
- Continuously improving operational leverage through emerging AI technologies Ideal Candidate
- 6-10+ years of progressive eCommerce experience with responsibility for digital P&Ls
- Experience leading and growing mid-to-high eight-figure or nine-figure omnichannel eCommerce businesses
- Proven hands-on eCommerce operator with a track record of driving both strategy and execution
- Extensive Amazon Seller experience and deep understanding of marketplace channels
- Strong Shopify DTC experience, including merchandising, lifecycle marketing, subscriptions, acquisition, and conversion optimization
- Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams
- Deep understanding of advertising economics, contribution margin, forecasting, inventory planning, and financial management
- Highly analytical and comfortable working directly with data and performance metrics
- Strong ownership mentality with the ability to move quickly from identifying a problem to driving its resolution
- Ability to move fluidly between strategy, leadership, analysis, and hands-on execution
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, high-growth environment with ambitious goals and multiple priorities
- Experience within CPG, food & beverage, coffee, supplements, or wellness preferred
- Strong AI literacy, including experience using AI tools, prompt design, automation, and AI-assisted analysis; comfortable working alongside AI agents to improve speed, quality, and decision-making What Success Looks Like The Head of ECommerce will be deeply connected to the performance of the digital business — knowing the numbers, understanding the drivers behind them, identifying opportunities early, and working alongside the team to turn strategy into execution.
