That was our basic thinking when we founded Simplehuman in 2000. Our mission is to bring high-performance innovation to basic but essential tasks in our daily routine. Through new technologies, meticulous engineering and an obsession for improvement, we find new and better ways to achieve basic but important daily tasks. About the Role Simplehuman is seeking an experienced, data-driven E-Commerce Account Manager to lead and grow our business with Amazon and other key online retail partners. This is a highly visible role responsible for driving strategic sales initiatives, optimizing digital merchandising, and maximizing performance across multiple online channels. You will be the primary owner of our Amazon business — shaping the roadmap, managing day-to-day operations, and executing strategies that elevate our brand presence and accelerate revenue growth. The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor with creative marketing instincts, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a proven track record managing large online retail accounts. This is a fully on-site position based in our Torrance, CA office. Responsibilities Own and manage the Amazon account to achieve revenue, profitability, and brand goals. Develop and execute data-driven strategies to increase sales, optimize conversion rates, and expand category share. Analyze performance metrics including traffic, conversion, ad efficiency, and profitability; leverage data to guide decisions and optimize performance. Oversee digital merchandising — product listings, A+ content, image galleries, SEO, and consumer reviews. Plan and manage marketing campaigns including sponsored ads, promotions, and seasonal initiatives aligned with KPI targets. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure inventory availability, product readiness, and timely launches. Build strong relationships with Amazon category managers and key stakeholders to secure brand visibility and support growth programs. Negotiate business terms and contribute to joint business planning. Monitor the competitive landscape and identify opportunities for innovation in digital retail execution. Report weekly and quarterly on sales, advertising, and profitability performance. Qualifications 5-10 years of e-commerce account management experience, including at least 3-5 years managing Amazon within the consumer products or luxury goods industry. Strong analytical mindset with expertise in profit analysis, margin calculation, and ROI optimization. Highly proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large data sets and forecasting models. Proven ability to translate insights into actionable growth strategies. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally. Comfortable in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment with a premium consumer brand. Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced coursework in business, marketing, or analytics a plus. Experience managing consumable products or recurring-purchase categories (e.g., refills, liners, filters) is a strong plus. About Us We're a mature company with the soul of a start-up. We value ingenuity, precise communications, fast iteration and scrappiness. Our teams are tight-knit with a work hard, play hard tradition - we take pride in individual and team success and push boundaries to make the best products. And we only build products we love to use ourselves. Great benefits, competitive compensation, and generous Simplehuman product discounts.
