Are you a driven and innovative individual with a passion for e-commerce and a love for baseball? The Mid-State Melon Mashers, a dynamic wood-bat baseball team, are seeking an E-Commerce Intern to play a pivotal role in developing and launching our new online retail platform. This is a unique opportunity to gain substantial hands-on experience in digital strategy and web development, directly contributing to our brand's growth and fan engagement, and is available for college credit. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the marketing and merchandise teams to define requirements and strategy for the new e-commerce website. Design, develop, and implement a fully functional e-commerce platform from concept to launch. Integrate secure payment gateways and shipping solutions. Upload and manage product inventory, including descriptions, images, and pricing for team merchandise. Optimize the website for user experience (UX) and mobile responsiveness, ensuring a seamless shopping journey. Implement search engine optimization (SEO) best practices to enhance visibility and traffic. Conduct thorough testing of all website functionalities, including checkout processes and order fulfillment. Assist in the development of promotional strategies for the e-commerce launch. Monitor website performance and suggest improvements post-launch. Qualifications Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Web Development, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento) or web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Understanding of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design principles. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage project timelines effectively. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. A passion for baseball and the sports industry is a significant plus.
