E-Commerce & Growth Marketing Manager Bumblechutes Salem, NH 03079 Full-Time | Primarily In-Person $80,000-$100,000 per year + performance bonus About Bumblechutes Bumblechutes is a New Hampshire-based manufacturer of premium wood finishes, waxes, oils, and care products for makers, woodworkers, kitchens, cast iron, leather, and outdoor applications. We manufacture our products in Salem, NH and sell directly to consumers through e-commerce, Amazon, and a growing network of specialty retailers across the United States. We are entering an important stage of growth. Bumblechutes has recently undergone a significant brand evolution, is expanding its product portfolio and wholesale presence, and is building the infrastructure required to become a nationally recognized premium brand. We are looking for a talented, commercially minded E-Commerce & Growth Marketing Manager to take ownership of our marketing engine and help lead that next stage. This is not primarily a social media position. This is a growth role for someone who understands how brand, e-commerce, retention, content, advertising, analytics, and customer experience work together to generate profitable revenue. The Opportunity You will become the primary owner of Bumblechutes' day-to-day marketing strategy and execution. You will work directly with the founders and have meaningful autonomy over how Bumblechutes acquires customers, retains them, launches products, communicates its story, and grows online. We are looking for someone who can think strategically but is equally comfortable executing. One day you may be analyzing Shopify conversion rates and Klaviyo performance. The next, you may be developing a product launch, directing creative, shooting content in our production facility, improving a product page, or testing new advertising. If you need a large corporate marketing department around you to get things done, this probably is not the right role. If you enjoy building, testing, learning, and owning results, we want to talk to you. What You'll Own E-Commerce & Conversion Own the performance and merchandising of our Shopify e-commerce experience. Improve conversion rate, average order value, product discovery, bundles, upsells, and cross-sells. Develop and optimize product pages and landing pages. Identify customer friction and continually test ways to improve the shopping experience. Coordinate with developers and designers when more advanced work is required. Support new product launches from concept through post-launch optimization. Email, SMS & Customer Retention Own our Klaviyo strategy, campaigns, segmentation, automation, and reporting. Build and continuously improve lifecycle flows including welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase, cross-sell, replenishment, win-back, and VIP programs. Develop a consistent promotional and educational email calendar. Increase repeat purchase behavior and customer lifetime value. Grow and improve the quality of our first-party customer database. Growth & Performance Marketing Help manage and optimize paid acquisition across platforms such as Meta and Google. Develop and test offers, creative concepts, audiences, landing pages, and campaigns. Understand the relationship between acquisition cost, conversion rate, average order value, repeat purchases, margin, and customer lifetime value. Know when a campaign should be scaled, changed, or stopped. Coordinate with outside specialists when appropriate while maintaining internal ownership of results. Content & Social Media Develop and execute a consistent content strategy across relevant platforms. Create and coordinate educational, product-focused, lifestyle, behind-the-scenes, founder, maker, and user-generated content. Identify content opportunities throughout our manufacturing operation. Create short-form video and basic photography when appropriate. Manage our organic social presence while focusing on meaningful business outcomes rather than vanity metrics. Build systems that allow Bumblechutes to consistently produce high-quality content. Brand & Creative Direction Protect and strengthen Bumblechutes' premium brand positioning. Ensure consistency across our website, advertising, photography, email, social media, packaging, wholesale materials, events, and other customer touchpoints. Brief and manage designers, photographers, creators, developers, and other contractors as needed. Maintain a high standard for visual quality, copy, storytelling, and overall customer experience. Analytics & Strategy Build clear reporting around the metrics that actually matter.
Monitor and improve metrics including:
DTC revenue Contribution margin Conversion rate Average order value Customer acquisition cost Marketing efficiency Repeat purchase rate Email revenue List growth Organic traffic Customer lifetime value Translate data into clear actions and priorities. Present concise weekly performance updates to the founders. Identify growth opportunities and proactively recommend where Bumblechutes should invest its time and marketing dollars. Product Launches & Wholesale Support Develop integrated go-to-market plans for new Bumblechutes products. Coordinate launch calendars, creative, email, paid advertising, landing pages, content, and promotions. Support our expanding retail network with product education, promotional assets, sales materials, and retailer marketing programs. Help strengthen the connection between our DTC and wholesale marketing strategies. What We're Looking For We care more about what you have actually accomplished than the exact title on your résumé. Ideally, you have: Approximately 4-7+ years of hands-on digital marketing, e-commerce, or growth experience. Meaningful experience working with a physical consumer-product or DTC brand. Strong Shopify experience. Strong Klaviyo or comparable lifecycle/email marketing experience. Experience using analytics to make commercial decisions. Working knowledge of Meta Ads and Google Ads. Experience launching and marketing physical products. Strong copywriting and communication skills. Excellent visual judgment and an appreciation for premium branding. Experience developing content for social media and digital advertising. The ability to manage several initiatives without requiring constant direction. Experience working with designers, developers, agencies, photographers, or freelancers. A strong understanding of e-commerce metrics including CAC, conversion rate, AOV, ROAS/MER, retention, and LTV. Comfort using modern AI tools to improve research, analysis, ideation, content development, and workflow efficiency. Particularly Valuable Experience These are not mandatory, but they will get our attention: You helped grow a consumer brand through a meaningful stage of growth. You can demonstrate measurable improvements in revenue, conversion rate, retention, email performance, acquisition efficiency, or customer lifetime value. You have built or substantially improved Klaviyo flows. You have owned a Shopify store rather than simply contributed to one. You have experience with woodworking, home improvement, cooking, outdoor, lifestyle, maker, or premium consumer brands. You are comfortable creating basic photo or video content yourself. You understand SEO and educational/content-driven customer acquisition. You have experience marketing through both DTC and retail/wholesale channels. You have worked in an entrepreneurial environment where you had to solve problems without a large support team. What Success Looks Like Within your first several months, we expect you to understand our customers, products, economics, marketing performance, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities. From there, success means building a disciplined marketing engine that consistently: Acquires profitable new customers. Improves our e-commerce conversion rate. Increases repeat purchasing and retention. Grows email and lifecycle revenue. Produces consistently excellent content. Executes stronger product launches. Strengthens the Bumblechutes brand. Provides clear visibility into marketing performance. Identifies and acts on new growth opportunities. Reduces the amount of day-to-day marketing execution that requires founder involvement. We are not hiring based on follower counts, impressions, or how busy someone appears. We are looking for measurable business impact.
Compensation Base salary:
$80,000-$100,000 per year, depending on experience The position will also include the opportunity to earn a meaningful performance-based bonus tied to company and marketing results. Location & Schedule This is a full-time, primarily in-person position based at our Salem, New Hampshire facility. Being physically present is important to this role because much of our best marketing comes directly from our products, manufacturing process, team, customers, and day-to-day operations. Some flexibility may be available where appropriate, but this is not intended to be a fully remote position. How to Apply Please submit your résumé along with a short note explaining why you believe you would be a strong fit for Bumblechutes. We would also like to see examples of your actual work. Whenever possible, please include examples such as: E-commerce brands or Shopify stores you have worked on. Email campaigns or lifecycle programs you developed. Product launches you helped lead. Advertising or growth campaigns. Landing pages or conversion improvements. Content you personally created or directed. Measurable results you helped produce. Please be specific about what you personally owned and what changed as a result of your work.
For example:
"I increased conversion rate from X to Y." "I grew email-attributed revenue from X% to Y%." "I managed approximately $X/month in paid media at a Y CAC." Specific results are much more useful to us than general descriptions of responsibilities. About You The person who will thrive here is probably curious, analytical, creative, resourceful, commercially minded, and slightly obsessed with making things better. You don't wait to be given a detailed checklist. You identify opportunities, propose solutions, execute, measure the result, and improve from there. You care about beautiful branding—but you also understand that marketing ultimately needs to produce customers, revenue, margin, and long-term brand value. If that combination describes you, we'd like to hear from you. Bumblechutes, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
