ICC Cable Corp. is an industrial electrical distributor specializing in wire, cable, and electrical components for demanding commercial and industrial applications. We are actively modernizing our sales operations and building a digital commerce presence to reach new customers and channels. This is a foundational hire that will help shape what ICC Cable Corp. looks like for the next decade. Position Overview We are seeking an E-Commerce & Technical Sales Specialist to join our team with a dual mandate: support our existing inside sales operations while taking the lead on building our e-commerce presence. E-commerce development is the core of this role — we are looking for someone who can architect and grow a digital storefront, and who is energized by building something from the ground up. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing e-commerce platforms and large product catalogs — whether in industrial, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, or any technical product space. You do not need a background specifically in electrical products; what matters most is your ability to translate complex product data into a seamless online buying experience. Strong digital marketing instincts and a builder mentality are essential. You will work alongside our inside sales team to learn our business before taking full ownership of the e-commerce build. Key Responsibilities Technical Sales & Customer Support Handle daily quoting, order processing, shipping coordination, invoicing, and customer communications through our ERP system Create accurate, technical quotes for industrial electrical components and cables Provide spec sheets and technical documentation to assist customers with product selection and engineering approvals Follow up on leads and customer inquiries to ensure high conversion rates and satisfaction Process customer orders and coordinate fulfillment, ensuring data integrity in the ERP system Maintain awareness of product updates, pricing changes, and supply chain developments Support relationship development by occasionally attending customer meetings with the sales team Assist and attend for industry trade shows and marketing events E-Commerce Development & Digital Strategy Lead the setup, configuration, and ongoing optimization of our e-commerce storefront Build and manage a high-integrity product catalog — mapping technical attributes for an intuitive search experience for engineers and electricians Write technically accurate, SEO-optimized product descriptions and ensure a seamless digital journey from spec download to checkout Evaluate and recommend the best website strategy to support our e-commerce goals Produce and edit professional product photography and short-form video content Manage and grow our presence on LinkedIn and other digital channels Research and adopt AI tools to streamline marketing content creation and, over time, daily operations Market Research & Lead Generation Build and maintain a CRM database of current and prospective customers for targeted outreach Research and qualify new leads while monitoring competitor digital activity Conduct market research and contribute to business planning for future channel expansion Collaborate with the sales team on SWOT analysis and strategic recommendations Qualifications Required 1-3 years of experience in e-commerce, technical sales, industrial distribution, or marketing support Advanced Microsoft Excel skills•XLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, data validation•for SKU management and product uploads Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopify preferred) or digital product listing management Basic proficiency in photo/video editing tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, or equivalent) Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a professional, customer-facing presence Self-directed with strong attention to detail and the ability to build new processes from scratch Preferred Prior experience in an industrial, electrical, or technical distribution environment Familiarity with Google Shopping, Google Merchant Center, or SEO best practices for product pages Experience with CRM systems and lead management workflows Experience producing short-form video content for B2B or technical audiences Exposure to AI content generation tools for copywriting, image creation, or video scripting Why ICC Cable Corp.
