Full-Time About the Position Skylar Racing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our fast-paced video game and e-commerce warehouse. Our warehouse processes a high volume of video games, consoles, handheld systems, controllers, accessories, collectibles, and other gaming merchandise every day. We are looking for someone who has proven warehouse management experience , strong leadership and organizational skills, and a solid understanding of video games and gaming hardware . This is a hands-on management position. You will be responsible for keeping the warehouse organized, employees productive, inventory moving efficiently, and daily operations running smoothly. We need someone who can take ownership of warehouse operations, identify problems, develop solutions, and hold their team accountable for meeting company expectations. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee all day-to-day warehouse operations Lead, train, supervise, and develop warehouse employees Assign daily responsibilities and establish priorities for the warehouse team Monitor employee productivity, accuracy, attendance, and quality of work Ensure daily and weekly production goals are being met Coordinate inventory intake, testing, sorting, organization, storage, and fulfillment Oversee the handling of video games, consoles, handheld systems, controllers, accessories, and collectibles Ensure products are properly identified, categorized, labeled, and routed throughout the warehouse Maintain accurate inventory and help prevent lost, misplaced, or incorrectly categorized merchandise Maintain an organized and efficient warehouse layout Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within warehouse workflows Develop and implement processes to improve productivity and accuracy Create, improve, and enforce warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Monitor quality-control procedures and ensure company standards are consistently followed Hold employees accountable for performance and workplace expectations Address employee performance and operational issues as they arise Coordinate with ownership and other managers regarding staffing, inventory, productivity, and operational needs Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new warehouse employees Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional work environment Take ownership of warehouse performance and continuously look for opportunities to improve operations Required Experience & Qualifications Previous warehouse management or warehouse supervisory experience is required.
Candidates should have:
Proven experience managing employees in a warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, or similar environment Strong knowledge and understanding of video games and gaming hardware Familiarity with both modern and retro gaming systems Ability to recognize common Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, Sega, and other gaming products Strong leadership and employee-management skills Ability to hold employees accountable while maintaining a professional work environment Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent problem-solving abilities Experience managing productivity and meeting production goals Strong attention to detail Ability to prioritize multiple warehouse operations simultaneously Strong written and verbal communication skills Basic computer and inventory-management skills Ability to learn and implement new warehouse systems and procedures Ability to operate independently without requiring constant supervision Education Bachelor's degree preferred in a relevant field such as: Supply Chain Management Operations Management Logistics and Transportation Business Administration Business Management Industrial Engineering Industrial Technology Manufacturing Management Information Systems Inventory or Distribution Management Or another related field Candidates with an Associate's degree combined with significant warehouse management experience may also be considered. Relevant professional certifications in areas such as supply chain management, logistics, Lean, Six Sigma, inventory management, or warehouse operations are a plus. Preferred Experience Additional experience in any of the following areas is highly desirable: Video game or electronics warehouses E-commerce operations High-volume fulfillment operations Consumer electronics Electronics testing and refurbishment Inventory management Shipping and receiving Warehouse process improvement Employee productivity tracking Quality control Electronics repair or technical troubleshooting Retro video games and gaming hardware Lean or Six Sigma process improvement Video Game Knowledge Because of the products we handle, video game knowledge is an important part of this position. Candidates do not need to know every game or collectible ever released, but should have a strong general understanding of the video game industry and be comfortable identifying different generations of: Nintendo consoles and handhelds PlayStation consoles and handhelds Xbox consoles Sega consoles Retro gaming systems Controllers and gaming accessories Physical video games Common gaming peripherals Knowledge of retro gaming hardware is especially valuable. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is organized, accountable, hands-on, analytical, and comfortable taking charge of a busy warehouse operation. The right person should be able to walk into the warehouse, understand what needs to get done, establish priorities, organize employees around those priorities, and ensure the work gets completed correctly and on time. We want a manager who doesn't simply maintain existing processes. We want someone who actively looks for ways to make the operation faster, more organized, more accurate, and more efficient. You should be comfortable making decisions, solving problems, communicating expectations, tracking performance, and holding your team accountable. Ideal Candidate Our ideal candidate combines: Formal education in business, operations, logistics, supply chain, or a related field Proven warehouse management experience Strong people-management and leadership skills Experience managing high-volume operations Strong knowledge of video games and gaming hardware An understanding of inventory control and warehouse organization A process-improvement mindset The ability to identify problems and implement practical solutions The ability to manage a team while remaining hands-on with day-to-day operations This is an opportunity for someone who wants to take real ownership of a growing warehouse operation and play an important role in improving how the company operates.
