Why Kyrgies Kyrgies is a growing eCommerce brand specializing in natural wool footwear handmade by artisans in Kyrgyzstan. As a small business, our team works closely across eCommerce, customer experience, fulfillment, and day-to-day business operations. Interns have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and see firsthand how the different areas of an eCommerce business work together. Internship Purpose The eCommerce & Office Assistant Internship provides hands-on experience in business operations, customer service, and eCommerce administration. Working alongside our operations team, the intern will gain practical experience supporting customers and participating in the day-to-day administrative processes that keep an eCommerce business running smoothly. Responsibilities Respond to customer emails and phone calls regarding orders, shipping, returns, exchanges, product questions, and warranty inquiries. Process customer returns and exchanges through our eCommerce platforms. Monitor and respond to customer inquiries throughout the day. Escalate complex customer concerns, billing discrepancies, or policy exceptions to management when appropriate. Prepare the office each morning by organizing the reception area and checking overnight voicemails. Sign for and distribute incoming packages and deliveries. Monitor office supply levels and notify management when supplies need to be reordered. Help maintain a clean and organized office environment. Assist with additional eCommerce and business operations projects based on business needs and the intern's interests. What You Will Learn Through this internship, you will gain hands-on experience with: eCommerce operations and administration Business administration Customer relationship management Shipping and fulfillment processes Returns and warranty management Office operations and administrative support Professional written and verbal communication Customer service and problem-solving The day-to-day operations of a growing consumer brand What You'll Need to Get the Job Done Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong reading comprehension and attention to detail. Professional, organized, and dependable. Comfortable learning new computer programs and technology. Ability to manage multiple tasks while staying organized. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
Internship Eligibility Candidates must:
Have a high school diploma. Be currently enrolled, or intending to enroll, in an undergraduate program at a Virginia college or university, including an eligible public or private 2-year or 4-year institution. Have not completed an undergraduate degree prior to the start of the internship.
Location and Schedule Location:
In-person, North Chesterfield, Virginia Schedule:
Part-time, 20 hours per week,
Monday-Friday Internship Dates:
9/1/26 - 1/31/27
Date Flexibility:
Start and end dates are flexible; however, we would prefer the intern to complete at least two weeks of training prior to October 1st. Compensation Starting at $17.00 per hour .
