This role focuses on coordinating marketing projects and cross-functional efforts to ensure the successful implementation of community marketing programs. The Specialist partners closely with property operations, creative teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to deliver marketing campaigns, maintain brand standards, support acquisitions and dispositions, and drive community engagement. Success in this role requires strong organization, communication, and project management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Serve as the regional portfolio marketing subject matter expert and primary point of contact for community marketing initiatives. Coordinate and execute community, regional, and portfolio-wide marketing campaigns from planning through implementation. Manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, deliverables, and budgets are met. Partner with property operations teams to identify marketing needs and recommend solutions that support occupancy and leasing goals. Coordinate cross-functional efforts with internal stakeholders, creative teams, digital marketing partners, and external vendors. Support asset positioning, branding, naming, and community messaging initiatives. Conduct community visits to evaluate branding, signage, curb appeal, and overall customer experience. Oversee the creation, distribution, and execution of marketing materials, including signage, collateral, promotional assets, and digital content. Maintain brand standards and ensure consistent execution across all assigned communities. Coordinate vendor relationships and support the procurement and implementation of marketing resources. Document community observations, project updates, and marketing activities for internal stakeholders. Facilitate communication between community teams and the broader marketing organization to ensure alignment on priorities and initiatives. Support special projects, new initiatives, and process improvement efforts as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in marketing, project coordination, account management, communications, or a related field. Multifamily housing experience preferred. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to coordinate initiatives across multiple stakeholders and departments. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to exceptional service. Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong presentation and relationship-building skills. Effective problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to shifting priorities. Self-starter who takes ownership of projects and follows through to completion. Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and willingness to contribute wherever needed. Desire to learn, grow, and develop within a dynamic marketing organization.

No formal supervisory responsibilities. May provide guidance, training, or coordination support to team members and vendors. Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, including community teams, vendors, and corporate stakeholders. Strong organizational and project coordination abilities, with the capacity to manage competing deadlines and priorities. Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions within established policies and procedures. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience; internal equity; and other business and organizational needs. This role is also eligible to participate in Essex's discretionary Annual Bonus program that is commensurate with the level of the position.
