Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Sales & Market Intelligence Analyst plays a critical role in supporting Goldwind North America's commercial growth by providing market intelligence, business analysis, and sales enablement across the United States and Canada. Working closely with the Sales, Business Development and Marketing teams, this position is responsible for analyzing and presenting renewable energy market trends, customer demand, competitive activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities that strengthen Goldwind's market position and support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Support North American business development and sales leadership by conducting market research, competitive analysis, and business intelligence activities to support strategic decision-making across North America. Collect, analyze, and interpret market data related to the wind energy markets, customer segments, purchasing behaviors, project pipelines, competitor activities, pricing, technology, and emerging opportunities. Monitor and assess competitor products, pricing strategies, project announcements, partnerships, and market positioning. Research and evaluate federal, provincial/state, and regional energy policies, regulatory developments, incentive programs, and market reforms that affect Goldwind's business opportunities throughout North America. Develop market forecasts and reports based on related market data, industry trends, energy policies, regulatory developments, procurement activities, and macroeconomic factors. Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, strategic briefings, and presentations to support business planning, investment decisions, and corporate strategy. Work closely with Sales, Business Development, and Marketing, and collaborate with other cross-functional teams to support customer pursuits, proposals, account planning, and strategic initiatives. Maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems by ensuring accurate sales pipeline data, customer information, market intelligence, and reporting metrics to improve sales effectiveness and business visibility. Analyze pipeline stages, customer engagement, win/loss rates, forecast accuracy, and conversion metrics to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improved commercial performance. Support customer demand forecasting by evaluating historical sales data, market growth projections, procurement schedules, policy developments, customer investment plans, and service trends to improve business planning, resource allocation, and aftermarket service strategies. Assist in planning and supporting customer meetings, executive visits, conferences, trade shows, and other business development activities by preparing research and briefing materials. Communicate complex market information clearly to technical and executive audiences, while maintaining high standards of accuracy, relevance, reliability, and quality in deliverables. Promote and enforce safety culture across the range of Goldwind's employees, contractors, and subcontractors to maintain the highest quality, health, safety, and environmental performance. Follow Goldwind's (or applicable) QHSE policies, procedures, and guidelines. Understand and implement QHSE management systems as it relates to their role. Promote and contribute to continuous improvement of Goldwind Americas ISO's program. Additional duties as assigned or as business needs emerge.
Required Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, Energy Systems, or a related field. MBA or graduate level degree preferred. Familiarity with the current wind energy trends in the US and Canada. Familiarity with Latin America wind energy market is a plus. 3-5 years of experience in market analysis, business intelligence, commercial strategy, sales operations, business development, or a related analytical role. Experience within the renewable energy, utilities, energy, manufacturing, industrial, or infrastructure sectors is preferred. Experience supporting commercial teams through market intelligence, forecasting, CRM analytics, or strategic planning is highly desirable
Desired Qualifications/Core Competencies/Skills:
Results-oriented professional with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for improving business performance through market intelligence, data analysis, and continuous process improvement. Experience developing interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Microsoft Excel. Proficiency working with large datasets, relational databases, CRM platforms, and business intelligence tools to extract, analyze, and communicate actionable insights. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate complex market trends, synthesize data, and develop strategic business recommendations. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional and multicultural teams. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical or market information to diverse audiences, including executive leadership.
