Sr. Consumer Insights Manager

Join our dynamic team at the Creative Center in Parsippany, NJ, as a Senior Consumer Insights Manager. This role is responsible for managing, designing, and conducting consumer, product and market research studies to provide creative fragrance direction and support strategic internal and client-based consumer insight projects. Leverage cutting edge qualitative, quantitative consumer and analytical research tools to provide new insights and generate new product and market ideas, identifying consumer's unmet needs in the marketplace.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, design and implement consumer, product and market research studies for product innovation and strategic/proactive category research (e.g., brand archetype studies, fragrance and flavor preferences, consumer language and product attribute probes, benchmarking studies, habits and usage studies, product use tests, behavior insights and immersion studies, emotions tests) to support key business initiatives. Collaborate with VP of Marketing and Commercial Team on strategic research and setting direction for actionable learning plans for the US clients and all consumer goods product categories. Collaborate with marketing and evaluation teams, sales and category management, and R&D, on new business opportunities. Incorporate new market and consumer trends into new insights development and category landscape for future trend analysis. Analyze and interpret results, provide high-quality research output/ communication materials and appropriate recommendations to internal creative development teams and external clients. Develop insightful and strategic client recommendations for key domestic and multinational clients. Supervise strategic external research partners on data collection and analytics throughout the course of the study. Maintain consumer insight budget. Coordinate efforts with Director of Consumer Insights, Flavors Division and US Fine Fragrance VP of Marketing.Interacts with:
All internal departments Global affiliates including marketing, research and sales departments. Customers Outside research partners and trend companies May be responsible for personnel actions and development of a CI Team of Analysts and Coordinators.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor Degree; Master's Degree preferred Minimum 10+ years' experience in consumer insights, product, market research and analytics, preferably at a Fragrance Supplier. Must have in-depth knowledge in the design and execution of qualitative and quantitative consumer and product research studies. Must have proven statistical skills with high degree of familiarity with statistical packages and the ability to create and interpret data. Strong analytical skills enabling transformation of data into insights and recommendations, especially when constrained by budget, timing, and lack of client direction.PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $148,000 to $180,000. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, geographic location, and applicable legal considerations.
