Job Description
About ITW Illinois Tool Works (ITW) is a global, publicly traded Fortune 200 company with over 100 years of history. The Warewash Business Division is seeking an ITW Engineering Intern for its Troy, Ohio location, 20 minutes north of Dayton, Ohio. About ITW Food Equipment Group The ITW Food Equipment Group has brands that are found in commercial kitchens, bakeries, delis and groceries around the world—providing commercial food equipment to cover every need, from food preparation and refrigeration to cooking and baking to dishwashing and waste disposal to weighing, labeling and wrapping. The Warewash Business Division produces Hobart brand commercial dishwashers that are used in hotels, casinos, restaurants, health care, schools and universities, cruise ships, and retail. The Hobart brand is a leader in the food equipment industry, and our products have been consistently voted "Best in Class" by dealers and consultants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with communicating sales programs and marketing initiatives to the sales organization. Support collaboration with Customer Care, Credit, Manufacturing, Technical Support, and other internal teams. Help develop and update training materials, presentations, and content for dealer schools and product training programs. Follow up on customer and sales opportunities and assist with tracking results. Conduct market research, surveys, and competitive analysis to identify industry trends and opportunities. Support new product launches and promotional activities. Assist with organizing, maintaining, and distributing marketing materials and product information. Participate in regional trade shows, customer events, and other marketing activities as opportunities arise. Learn the Warewash product portfolio and support efforts to communicate product features and benefits. Assist Sales Development Managers with customer-related activities and presentations. Utilize AutoQuotes to learn product applications, create equipment quotations, and gather competitive information. Minimum Qualifications Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree as a Junior or Senior in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Presentation and relationship-building skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Ability to plan, coordinate, and manage projects independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret market, sales, and competitive data. Interest in product marketing, sales support, market research, and manufacturing industries. Previous business-to-business (B2B) sales, customer service, internship, campus leadership, or related experience preferred. Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 50% as business needs require; when not traveling, this position is expected to work on-site at our Troy, Ohio location.
