Department University Marketing & Communications Rate of Pay $8.00 hourly FLSA Non-Exempt Estimated Number of Hours Per Week 10-20 Employment Status Part Time Temporary Student Appointment Type Jobship and Work-Study General Description Perform receptionist and clerical responsibilities in the University Marketing & Communications Office. Essential Job Duties Provide friendly and helpful customer service by welcoming and assisting visitors, answering and directing phone calls, and taking and delivering messages. Pick up, deliver, sort and distribute mail. Copy, scan and file documents. Run campus errands as needed. Assist with special events; including social media coverage. Assist staff with paperwork, preparing reports, gathering information, monitoring office supply inventory, and other administrative tasks as assigned. Assist with marketing content creation and idea generation as needed Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Organization and attention to detail a must. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Self-motivated with a positive attitude. Experience using Mac OS. Understanding of confidentiality.
