Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Assistant assists in the preparation and development of marketing and communications assets. The Marketing Assistant will work across digital marketing channels including email, web, and social media. The Marketing Assistant will also be responsible for assisting in the implementation and ongoing support of all marketing activities across USCAP's entire portfolio. The position will also support the on-site educational programs.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following:- Assisting with the production and scheduling of marketing emails and newsletters
- Preparing social media posts and maintaining social scheduling calendars, based on guidance from the Director
- Assisting with monthly social and email performance reporting
- Updating website and program content as needed
- Organizing and maintaining marketing assets, templates, and collateral
- Assisting with proofreading and QA review for marketing materials and communications
- Creating and resizing graphics using established templates and brand guidelines
- Assisting with promotional materials for courses, meetings, and member communications
- Supporting presentation, signage, and print production needs
- Coordinating routine vendor requests and production follow-up
- Assisting with intake and routing of marketing requests
- Helping track timelines, deliverables, and project statuses
- Escalating larger or more strategic requests as appropriate
- Supporting coordination and follow-up for recurring production requests and deliverables
- Assisting with on-site educational program logistics
- Supporting room setup, presentation coordination, signage, and course materials
- Providing operational support during Interactive Microscopy and related educational programs, including onsite program coordination support as requested
- Performing other duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience- Associate BA/BS or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field
- Internship, student organization, freelance, or part-time marketing experience preferred Required Technical / Other Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with social media platforms required
- Basic familiarity with Canva or the Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Comfortable learning new digital tools and platforms
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously while exercising sound judgment, problem solve and use discretion and initiative in performing complex work.
- Strong written communication and proofreading skills
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn new skills and systems
- Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and good judgment
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
- Proficient and knowledgeable with technological tools like Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, and Outlook.
- Must excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This person must have integrity and earn credibility with leaders, members, vendors, and staff.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Ability to travel to USCAP meetings and events as needed.
- Ability to work a varied schedule depending the needs of the organization, and may include evenings, weekends and early mornings.
