This is a high-trust, high-impact role for someone who can move fluidly between hands-on marketing execution and close CEO support — someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and wants a front-row seat to how a growing company operates. You'll help shape and run marketing initiatives while also keeping the CEO's day-to-day running smoothly. Expect the mix to shift week to week as the company's needs evolve. Key Responsibilities Marketing Plan, execute, and report on marketing campaigns across email, social, paid, and content channels Manage day-to-day marketing for our e-commerce storefront — product launches, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and site merchandising Own SEO strategy and execution — keyword research, on-page optimization, site structure, and content recommendations to improve organic search performance Manage paid search campaigns (Google Ads/AdWords) including keyword bidding, ad copy, budget pacing, and performance optimization Own or support the marketing calendar, coordinating with designers, freelancers, and outside agencies as needed Track campaign performance and e-commerce metrics and translate results into recommendations for the CEO Help maintain brand voice and visual consistency across the website, marketplaces, and social channels Stay on top of e-commerce and startup marketing trends and bring the CEO relevant opportunities and risks Calendar & Time Management Own a fast-moving, frequently shifting calendar; ruthlessly prioritize what deserves the CEO's time Prepare CEO for back-to-back meetings with quick-turn briefing notes and context Build in buffer and protect focus time in a schedule that's constantly in flux Communication & Correspondence Draft and manage correspondence, including vendor outreach, partner emails, and internal comms Act as a filter and first point of contact for inbound requests — knowing what needs the CEO's attention now, later, or not at all Liaise with investors, customers, and early team members on the CEO's behalf Project Management & Notion Ownership Own Notion as the company's central project management system — boards, cards, labels, and workflows Ensure all stakeholders (leadership, team members, and relevant external partners) are actively and correctly using Notion — not just set up on it Train new and existing team members on Notion best practices; troubleshoot and correct misuse as it comes up Audit boards regularly to keep them accurate, up to date, and genuinely useful — not just a graveyard of stale cards Translate the CEO's priorities into clear, trackable Notion cards and follow up to ensure movement, including marketing deliverables Flag stalled projects or bottlenecks visible in Notion directly to the CEO Travel & Logistics Coordinate travel (often booked on short notice) for fundraising trips, conferences, and customer visits Track and reconcile expenses without a big back-office team to lean on Meeting & Event Support Prepare materials for leadership meetings Help organize team offsites, all-hands, and ad hoc events as the company scales Take notes in key meetings and drive follow-up on action items, logging them in Notion Project & Office Management Jump into special projects wherever the company needs extra hands — this role isn't confined to a narrow job description Help stand up light operational processes as the company grows (there often isn't one yet — you may be building it) Manage the Miami office day-to-day (supplies, vendors, ad hoc logistics) Confidentiality & Judgment Handle sensitive information (fundraising, personnel, strategy) with complete discretion Exercise strong judgment representing the CEO's voice and priorities, often with limited guidance Qualifications Required 3+ years of marketing experience, ideally including hands-on e-commerce marketing (campaigns, storefront management, performance tracking) Experience in a startup or high-growth technology company strongly preferred Prior experience as an EA, chief of staff, or in a role directly supporting a founder/executive, ideally combined with the marketing background above Hands-on experience with Notion or similar project management tools (Asana, Trello, Monday.com); comfortable owning a system end-to-end, not just using one Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong marketing copywriting instincts Comfortable with ambiguity, fast pivots, and a role that evolves as the company does Strong tech fluency across marketing tools (email/CRM platforms, e-commerce platforms like Shopify, analytics dashboards) and general office tools; picks up new tools quickly Working knowledge of SEO best practices and hands-on experience managing Google Ads/AdWords campaigns Impeccable discretion — you'll be trusted with things that aren't public yet Self-starter who solves problems without needing detailed instructions Preferred Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field Experience supporting a startup founder/CEO through a period of growth Familiarity with additional paid social platforms (Meta Ads) and email marketing tools (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar) Experience training or onboarding teams onto a new tool or process Attributes We're Looking For Genuinely energized by both strategic marketing work and detail-oriented EA support — not just tolerating the mix Scrappy — figures things out without a big team or established process to lean on Naturally organized; can't stand a messy board or a dropped follow-up Comfortable holding people accountable, including people senior to you, to keep Notion usage consistent Anticipates needs before being asked Calm under pressure, energized rather than drained by a fast pace High EQ; builds trust quickly across the team, investors, and external partners
