Leasing and Marketing Associate - Apartment Property Management Wampler Property Management Champaign, IL Job Details Full-time From $24 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off On-the-job training Qualifications Social media management Customer service Property leasing Property management Full Job Description Our Leasing and Marketing Associate will work with our manager to lease our approximately 170 apartments, located in 16 buildings or houses, in Champaign and Urbana Illinois home of the University of Illinois. 100 of our apartments are on or near the campus and are mostly occupied by University graduate and undergraduate students. Our remaining apartments are located near downtown Champaign and are occupied by young professionals, university staff and instructors and graduate students.
Responsibilities:
On the job training provided Present apartments, houses or other properties to prospective clients in a persuasive manner Responding to inquiries, scheduling showings, following up with prospects, converting inquiries into applications/leases, and assisting with lease preparation Assist manager in discovering potential tenants Create/update listings, take photos, advertise on Facebook and Instagram, respond to online leads, manage Zillow listings Evaluate clients' housing requirements and financial qualifications to make personalized presentations Provide accurate information on the different features of properties Validate application information and references Keep abreast of the property market status Follow-up on maintenance work orders and inspect properties periodically Answer phones, emails and text messages promptly and professionally Follow federal, state and local fair-housing laws and apply rental criteria consistently Maintaining accurate records, ensuring applications are filled out properly, and keeping prospect/tenant information organized. Stocking supplies and handling mail We are a small, family owned property management company and landlord. Teamwork and effective communication are paramount as our entire staff consists of 5 people all of whom report to and directly work with the manager. Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30AM until 5PM. There will be occasional Saturday apartment showings during our prime leasing season. Saturday and any evening hours are considered overtime. The successful candidate must provide their own reliable transportation. All business mileage is compensated at the IRS mileage rate. We provide 1 week paid vacation during the 1st year of employment and 2 weeks beginning the 2nd year of employment. Note, because of our small # of employees we do not provide health insurance at this time.The ideal candidate is:
Friendly and professional with prospective and current tenants Comfortable with sales and follow-up Organized and detail-oriented Strong in written and verbal communication Comfortable using email, text, computers and social media Able to work independently while functioning well on a five-person team Reliable and punctual Comfortable working with college students, parents, professionals Able to handle confidential information Previous leasing, sales, property-management or real-estate experience is helpful but not required; comprehensive on-the-job training is providedJob Type:
