Job Description

CALLING ALL STUDENTS!
The Arc of the Quad Cities Area is seeking a Development & Marketing Intern! This is a PAID internship where a student will work up to 24 hours a week during our business hours of 8 AM-4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The internship schedule is flexible to fit your school schedule.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively support and further the Mission of The Arc of the Quad Cities Area. "To empower people with disabilities to believe in their unique abilities and achieve their full potential by providing quality, innovative services that focus on advocacy, independence, employment, meaningful community life, and personal happiness." Assists the Director of Development & Communication in completing the marketing plan—aligns the marketing plan with social media strategies to create original content under the Director's guidance. Supports the agency in implementing events and outreach activities that enhance The Arc's brand in the community. Helps coordinate and develop recognition communications for The Arc donors. Assists in the planning and execution of The Arc's fundraising events, coordinating volunteers and recognition of community partners. Participate in internal committees and workgroups as assigned. Attend meetings and training sessions and perform other duties as assigned. Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or G.E.D. required Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in a related field from an accredited university or college. Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing required. Ability to interact professionally with others required. Strength to lift equipment and supplies required. Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite software preferred. "We are an equal opportunity employer.
