Job Description

LFA has a position open in our downtown South Bend office that will assist the company in achieving its sales, growth and market presence goals. This individual will work with internal staff to develop proposals, execute marketing and business development initiatives and will be public-facing while attending industry conferences and college/university recruiting events. This is a mid to entry level position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of prior proposal development, marketing or professional service experience with a strong desire to learn and develop new skills.
Qualifications:
A/E/C, professional services, marketing, proposal development; or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field is a plus but not required. Self-motivated individual with strong desire for responsibility. Ability to work with engineering professionals and learn basic engineering terminology and principles. Capable of managing or learning CRM software. Organizational skills to manage data and marketing goals. Website management experience would be an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) desired. Experience in or ability to learn marketing design software for production of marketing materials
Responsibilities:
Reports directly to the company controller and works with the leadership team, staff engineers and the Marketing and Business Development Director to achieve the company's awareness, growth and sales goals. Supports leadership team and engineers in proposal process and develops competitive proposals. Includes managing the process and coordinating production of materials required. Generates marketing materials for distribution at conferences and targeted events. Manages company website and social media accounts; which includes tracking metrics and developing routine content for posting of blogs, articles and project highlights. Manages sales pipeline data and coordinates with engineers. Includes project opportunities list and tracking, proposals outstanding meetings, quarterly marketing meetings, and annual reporting. Organizes, coordinates and attends industry conferences, college/university recruiting initiatives and company events. Compensation is based on experience and demonstrated capabilities.
