Marketing & Communications Description:
We are seeking a friendly,anized, and adaptable Front Desk Associate to join our team. This position serves as the first point of contact for visitors, members, volunteers, andmunity partners while also providing administrative support for our Marketing & Communications efforts. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and isfortable managing multiple priorities. Like many roles in a mission-driven nonprofit, this position is intentionally hybrid. In addition to providing outstanding service to visitors and members at our front desk, associates contribute to theanization's growth by supporting internal systems, operations, and department-specific initiatives. Evening and weekend availability is required. Wee and assist visitors, members, volunteers, and guests with professionalism and excellent customer service. Answer phones, respond to general inquiries, and direct visitors to the appropriate staff. Monitor the front desk and help maintain a clean, weing, andanized reception area. Support volunteers by answering questions, providing guidance, and assisting with check-in and scheduling as needed. Provide administrative support for marketing andmunication activities, including posting on social media channels, designing class, workshop, and performance graphics, and regular updatesMaintaining the in-buildingmunity board, optimizing digital & physical displays, updates, representing The DC atmunity events, and bi-monthly emails ofpiled opportunities/notices for our Teaching Artists Maintain the in-buildingmunity board, optimize digital and physical displays,pile opportunities/notices for our teaching artists, and strategize workflow within Marketing & Communications, Programming, and Community Engagement departments Assist with special events, campaigns, andmunity programs as assigned. Perform general office and administrative tasks using Google Workspace (GSuite). Collaborate with staff across departments to support daily operations.
Additional Responsibilities:
Graphics Design graphics for performances, events, and workshops from templates Communicate with performing/workshop artists to review and approve designed graphics Ensure uing event posters are regularly changed out and up to date throughout building Social Media Post to The DC's social media channels (, , and occasionally ) via Hootsuite, including but not limited to event announcements, workshop announcements, teaching artist features, building closure announcements, development/fundraising campaigns,munity news Monitor tags, DMs, and other interactions on social media, resharing stories, review invites to collaborate, respond to DMs Update Link tree in bio with event ticketing page links, news articles, misc. important links Monitor and maintain our Social Media Calendar, keep up to date and ensure posts go out as scheduled Weekend and evening availability to monitor social media and re stories, update with last-minute class changes Communications Attend DC andmunity events as available/interested to take photos, network, engage withmunity and understand performance/programming work, represent theanization, and on social media Join weekly Programming μnications meetings about performance & events, teaching artists & workshops Tabling atmunity events Notify teaching artists of any promotional requests,munity engagement opportunities, misc items that arise Develop a biweekly mass email to teaching artists to update - opportunities, goings-on, etc Front Desk Maintainanized & up to datemunity board Post flyers on boards throughout themunity/around Central Square Update studio, lobby, building signage as needed Strategizeanizational flow of building lobby, best use of space for signage Create display plan for miscellaneous bulletin boards throughout building

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Stronganizational skills and attention to detail. Adaptable and able to manage changing priorities. Comfortable using Google Workspace (GSuite), including Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Calendar. Familiar with Canva, Adobe suite, or other graphic design platform. Familiar with , , , and/or Tiktok for businessanization Familiar with Hootsuite or similar platform Ability tomunicate effectively with diverse audiences. Previous customer service, administrative, nonprofit, or front desk experience is preferred but not required.
