$15.00/hr Overview City Barrel Brewing is seeking a passionate, creative, and motivated Marketing Intern with a specialization in social media and digital marketing to support our marketing and brand initiatives across both locations. This role is ideal for someone who loves craft beer, local food culture, and creative storytelling while gaining hands-on experience across multiple areas of marketing, digital media, social media marketing, and design. Working closely with our Brand + Creative Director and Restaurant Operations Manager, the Marketing Intern will assist in planning and executing digital marketing campaigns, content creation, graphic design, email marketing, event promotion, and brand initiatives. The intern will help manage day-to-day social media efforts, create compelling visual content, maintain our digital presence across multiple platforms, and support marketing efforts both online and in the community. Responsibilities Assist in managing and maintaining the social media content calendar for both locations. Support the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns surrounding beer releases, menu launches, seasonal promotions, and community events. Film, photograph, and edit engaging content including Reels, Stories, static posts, carousels, and promotional videos. Build and maintain an organized library of photo and video assets by capturing content on-site throughout the week. Design digital and print marketing materials including posters, flyers, table tents, menus, signage, digital advertisements, and promotional graphics as needed Assist with email marketing campaigns through content creation, graphic design, scheduling, and list management. Help develop and execute digital promotions across multiple marketing channels. Write captions, email copy, and promotional messaging that reflects the City Barrel brand voice. Respond to comments, direct messages, and community interactions in a timely manner. Track and analyze marketing performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for growth. Maintain and update City Barrel's online presence by promoting events and promotions across Google Business Profile, Facebook Events, Instagram, tourism websites, and other third-party event calendars. Work closely with the Brand + Creative Director to ensure consistency in branding, visuals, messaging, and storytelling across all customer touchpoints. Collaborate with restaurant management to highlight specials, events, neighborhood happenings, and operational updates. Assist with website updates and other digital marketing initiatives as needed. Attend brewery events, festivals, beer releases, and community events to capture content and assist with marketing efforts. Support off-site marketing initiatives, promotional events, and community partnerships as needed. Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute new marketing ideas and campaign concepts. Be available to work on-site during weekdays to capture content alongside staff while also participating in virtual check-ins and planning meetings. Assist with additional marketing projects and administrative tasks as assigned. Qualifications Passion for craft beer, food, hospitality, and creative storytelling. Basic understanding of social media platforms, especially Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Experience with photography, videography, short-form video editing, and/or graphic design. Familiarity with Canva required. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, lightroom) is a plus. Strong written communication skills with the ability to write engaging marketing copy. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Comfortable working independently while collaborating with multiple departments. Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable interacting with restaurant staff, brewery staff, guests, vendors, and community partners. Must be able to work on-site during scheduled shifts for content creation and marketing support.
