Job Description

S2STEM is a growing STEM enrichment organization offering hands-on enrichment programs in robotics, coding, engineering, math, science, technology, competitions, camps for K-8 students. As we continue to grow our programs, competition teams, camps, school partnerships, and community presence, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing & Communications Associate to help drive enrollment, strengthen customer engagement, and support business growth. Position Summary The Marketing & Communications Associate will work directly with the Center Owner to execute local growth strategy and turn marketing activity into measurable enrollment results. This is a hands-on role responsible for: Lead generation Enrollment conversion Email marketing Social media Meta/Facebook advertising Customer follow-up Event marketing Community outreach Lead tracking Customer re-engagement Marketing analytics Enrollment reporting This role is ideal for an early-career professional who is energetic, analytical, customer-focused, and motivated by measurable business results. The goal is not simply to create marketing activity. The goal is to generate qualified leads, convert interest into registrations, and help grow program enrollment and revenue . Core Responsibilities1. Enrollment Growth & Lead Generation Execute marketing campaigns for classes, camps, competitions, robotics teams, clubs, and special programs.
Generate qualified leads through:
Digital advertising Email campaigns Social media Community outreach School partnerships Events Referrals Customer re-engagement Identify programs with available capacity and develop campaigns to increase enrollment. Support S2STEM's overall enrollment growth goals. Recommend where marketing effort and budget should be focused based on results. 2. Lead Management & Conversion Own the lead journey from initial inquiry through registration.
Responsibilities include:
Track all incoming leads and lead sources. Respond promptly to prospective families. Follow up through email, phone, text, and approved communication channels. Support families in identifying the right program for their child. Follow up after trials, tours, open houses, and events. Re-engage leads who expressed interest but did not register. Re-engage former S2STEM families. Track lead-to-registration and trial-to-registration conversion. Identify where prospective customers are dropping out of the enrollment funnel. Recommend changes that improve conversion. 3. Email Marketing & Communications Plan and execute email campaigns for: Program launches Registration deadlines Robotics and competition teams Camps Open houses Special events Seasonal enrollment Customer re-engagement Segment customer audiences by: Age Grade Program interest Previous participation Enrollment stage Write clear, engaging, conversion-focused communication. Track open rates, click-through rates, inquiries, and registrations. Continuously improve messaging based on campaign performance. 4. Social Media & Digital Advertising Manage S2STEM's local social media calendar and execution.
Create and schedule content featuring:
Student projects STEM activities Competitions Camps Program launches Student achievements Community events Manage Facebook and Instagram advertising. Support audience targeting, campaign structure, creative, messaging, landing pages, and calls to action.
Track:
Ad spend Lead volume Cost per lead Cost per registration Campaign conversion Test and optimize campaign messaging and creative. 5. Event & Community Marketing Promote and support: Open houses STEM showcases Competitions Community events School events Registration events Develop communication plans and promotional materials. Build relationships with local schools, parent groups, community organizations, and business partners. Track event-generated leads and registrations. Ensure timely post-event follow-up. 6. Customer Engagement & Front-Office Support While this is primarily a marketing and communications role, the associate will also support customer-facing activities when needed.
This may include:
Helping prospective families understand programs. Supporting registrations. Assisting during peak front-office periods. Supporting open houses and events. Helping resolve routine customer questions. Coordinating with front-office staff to ensure leads are followed through. This role is not intended to become a general receptionist position. Growth and enrollment remain the primary focus. 7. Marketing Analytics & Reporting The Marketing & Growth Associate will maintain a simple, actionable growth dashboard and review results regularly with the Center Owner.
Metrics should include:
New leads generated Lead source Leads contacted Follow-up completion Lead-to-registration conversion Trial-to-registration conversion Registrations by campaign Enrollment change by program Programs below capacity Cost per lead Cost per registration Email campaign performance Event-generated leads Customer re-engagement Paid campaign performance Revenue contribution where measurable 8. Strategy Alignment with Center Owner The Marketing & Growth Associate will report directly to the Center Owner and work closely on priorities, campaigns, and results.
The role will:
Participate in regular growth reviews. Review enrollment gaps and opportunities. Align on weekly and monthly campaign priorities. Recommend marketing actions based on data. Share campaign and conversion results. Escalate concerns when lead volume or conversion is below expectations. Help translate business goals into practical marketing actions. Track whether campaigns are actually producing enrollment and revenue. The Center Owner will retain responsibility for overall business strategy, major pricing decisions, major promotions, and marketing budget direction. Success Metrics Success will be measured by outcomes, not activity alone.
Key performance indicators include:
Contribution toward 15-20% active enrollment growth Support toward 85% program capacity Qualified leads generated Lead-to-registration conversion rate Trial-to-registration conversion rate Registrations generated from campaigns Enrollment growth in priority programs Paid campaign efficiency Email conversion performance Event-generated registrations Former-family reactivation Timeliness and consistency of lead follow-up Accuracy of lead and campaign reporting Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Business Marketing, Digital Marketing, or another directly relevant field 2-3+ years of relevant professional marketing, communications, lead-generation, or growth experience Proven track record of contributing to measurable results such as: Lead generation Customer acquisition Revenue growth Enrollment growth Campaign conversion Event-generated business Experience supporting a small business, startup, education organization, service business, or growth-focused company Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with email marketing tools Experience managing business social media Familiarity with Facebook and Instagram advertising Experience tracking leads and campaign results Strong organizational and follow-through skills Comfortable communicating directly with prospective and existing customers Comfortable working with data and performance metrics Preferred Qualifications Experience with several of the following: Mailchimp or similar email platforms Meta Ads Manager Canva CRM or lead-tracking systems Customer-support platforms Social media scheduling tools Google Workspace Google Analytics or similar reporting platforms Landing pages and digital registration funnels Event marketing Local/community marketing Education, enrichment, tutoring, camps, or youth programs What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Energetic and proactive Results-focused Comfortable being accountable for measurable outcomes Persistent with customer follow-up Strong at communication and storytelling Analytical enough to understand what is and is not working Comfortable testing ideas and adjusting based on results Organized and dependable Comfortable working directly with the Center Owner Able to move quickly from idea to execution Motivated by seeing campaigns turn into registrations and revenue This is not primarily a social media posting role . Schedule :
