Marketing & Brand Assistant

is an emerging activewear and lifestyle brand based in North Carolina, created at the intersection of movement, fashion, wellness, and everyday life. As VAERA continues to build its visual identity, community, and presence, we are looking for a part-time, as-needed Marketing & Brand Assistant to work closely with the founder and support the creative execution behind the brand. This role will focus primarily on content creation, brand photoshoots, social media, model and creator sourcing, and campaign support . You will help bring VAERA's marketing ideas to life through scheduled content days, photoshoots, launches, and other creative projects. This is an as-needed position rather than a set weekly-hours role . Hours will vary depending on VAERA's current marketing calendar, content needs, photoshoots, campaigns, and launches. The position is collaborative, creative, and intentionally focused on marketing and content rather than general administrative work. ResponsibilitiesContent Days Take photos and short-form videos of the founder during scheduled content days Capture fashion, fitness, lifestyle, founder, and behind-the-scenes content Help execute prepared shot lists and content plans Assist with identifying strong angles, lighting, backgrounds, and locations Help keep content days organized, productive, and efficient Organize photos and videos after content days when needed VAERA Photoshoots Assist with planning and preparing for VAERA brand photoshoots Help coordinate shoot dates, locations, models, and basic schedules Assist with developing shot lists, visual references, and mood boards Help keep photoshoots organized on set Capture behind-the-scenes photos and short-form video Assist with small production needs during shoots Model & Creator Sourcing Help identify local models and creators who align with VAERA's visual identity Review incoming model submissions Help organize model contact information, availability, sizing, and social profiles Assist with casting outreach and shoot confirmations Maintain organized model and creator lists Social Media Support Assist with planning content for Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and other VAERA platforms Research relevant trends, concepts, references, and emerging content formats Help maintain VAERA's content calendar Assist with organizing upcoming posts and campaign content Contribute ideas for social media, storytelling, and promotional content Creator & Influencer Research Research creators and influencers who naturally align with VAERA Help develop creator and product-gifting lists Assist with organizing outreach and responses Research potential collaborations, partnerships, and local opportunities Campaign Support Assist with organizing campaign concepts and creative references Help create mood boards and simple Canva materials Research shoot locations, concepts, creators, and visual inspiration Support basic planning for collection launches and marketing campaigns What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Creative with a strong visual eye Comfortable regularly taking photos and videos of another person Familiar with Instagram, TikTok, and current digital culture Interested in fashion, fitness, wellness, activewear, or lifestyle branding Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Comfortable receiving creative direction and executing it Able to work independently when needed Professional when communicating with models, creators, businesses, and brand partners Comfortable with a flexible, as-needed work schedule Interested in gaining firsthand experience inside a growing consumer brand Preferred Skills Previous professional experience is helpful but not required. Familiarity with any of the following is a plus: iPhone photography and videography Content creation Instagram TikTok Pinterest Canva CapCut or basic video editing Google Drive Social media marketing Photography Fashion, fitness, or lifestyle content Marketing, communications, public relations, or related coursework College students and early-career applicants are encouraged to apply.
