Job Description

Ameritas is looking for a Marketing Intern - Meetings and Events to drive the business by supporting learning and networking events for the financial professionals who represent us across the country and their administrative assistants. You'll be part of the team that helps formulate promotion and communication plans while also being on the intensive front lines of implementing those plans. No travel is involved. This internship will begin May 2027. This is a hybrid role working partially in-office and partially from home.

What you do:
Event Promotions Support:

Promotion planning: Work with marketing and business partners to create a tactical schedule of promotions for field events such as training academies, business forums, conferences and more.

Tactical execution of promotion plan: Collaborate with business partners and marketing team members to write and develop ads, articles, and other promotions, taking promotion and communication pieces from concept to completion.

Event Communications Support:
Workfront Project Management:

Navigate, set up and track marketing projects to completion using the enterprise-wide work management system, WorkFront.

Monitor the system for incoming requests from the events team, then facilitate those requests through the process.

Copywriting & Proofing:

Collaborate with the event planning and practice management teams to do copywriting, proofing and routing for approvals for all event communications, which may include: Emails for the events/practice mgmt. teams to distribute

Ads and articles for internal publications @Ameritas For You weekly e-newsletter, weekly AIC/AAS Bulletin e-newsletter

Flyers/newsletters, email signatures, programs, notecards, PowerPoint presentations, and other meeting collateral.

Sponsorship communications, agendas, rosters, note cards, flyers and more

Online Content Management:

Work with Ameritas' web team to post content for event communications, including: Promotional electronic billboards and notices

Event overview landing pages

Presentation follow-up pages

Event postings on agent portal

Populate and proof registration sites What you bring: Enrolled in a college program, at least part-time, for the entire course of the internship, studying marketing, advertising, journalism, business, or other related field.

Ability to commit to a 12 - 18 month internship - part-time (PT) during the academic school year and full-time (FT) during the summer. PT includes 20 hours per week.

FT includes 40 hours per week. Strong writing and excellent proofreading skills

Strong work ethic and high-work speed and capacity

Ability to meet project deadlines while maintaining the highest standards by using excellent time management, organizational skills and communication. High levels of resilience, positive attitude, and adaptability to unplanned requests and changes

Ability to multi-task and manage several projects and their respective tasks

Working proficiency with the

Microsoft Office Suite:

Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Working proficiency with Adobe PDF
