Job Description
Marketing & Fundraising Intern - PJ Parkinson's Support (Paid Internship) Join PJ Parkinson's Support as a Marketing & Fundraising Intern and help amplify our mission to empower individuals and families living with Parkinson's disease. This paid internship offers hands‑on experience in nonprofit marketing, digital storytelling, community outreach, and fundraising support. You'll contribute directly to campaigns that strengthen our programs, events, and donor engagement while learning from experienced nonprofit professionals. If you're passionate about using marketing to make a difference, eager to learn, and excited to support meaningful community impact, this role is an excellent fit. Key Responsibilities Assist in developing and executing multichannel marketing campaigns across social media, email, print, and digital platforms to support events, programs, and fundraising initiatives. Create engaging content and storytelling pieces including social media posts, blog articles, newsletters, donor spotlights, and promotional materials using Adobe Creative Suite. Support fundraising efforts , including donor outreach, sponsor follow‑ups, event promotion, and helping prepare materials for campaigns such as Pose for Parkinson's, the Golf Tournament, and the Middlebrook Run. Help manage social media advertising campaigns (Facebook Ads, Google Ads) to increase awareness of PJ Parkinson's programs and fundraising events. Conduct web and social analytics reporting using tools like Google Analytics to measure campaign performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Assist with marketing automation tools to streamline donor communication, event promotion, and stewardship workflows. Contribute to market and community research , analyzing nonprofit trends, audience insights, and engagement patterns to inform strategy. Support event‑related tasks such as outreach to sponsors, coordinating communications, and helping prepare marketing materials for community events. Requirements Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Nonprofit Management , or a related field. Strong understanding of SEO principles and experience writing content for digital platforms. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for graphic design and content creation. Knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and basic understanding of marketing automation platforms. Experience with social media marketing , including managing or supporting advertising campaigns. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a small, mission‑driven team. Demonstrated interest in digital marketing, nonprofit communications, fundraising, community engagement , or storytelling for social impact.
