Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
•Can include the following: Assist with donor thank-you letters, emails, and acknowledgment mailings; Support preparation for donor meetings, tours, and events; Assist with organizing and assembling donor packets, newsletters, and campaign materials Help collect stories, testimonials, and program updates for advancement communications; assisting with administrative tasks to ensure donor communications occur on a regular basis. Creating content for social media to support programs throughout Mission Waco. Creating graphics and flyers for Mission Waco programs. Provide general office and administrative assistance to the Advancement team

FEDERAL WORK-STUDY.
This is off-campus employment, so reliable transportation is important.
FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
•Serve alongside the Associated Executive Director for donor support and communications. Serve alongside Director of Events and Communications to plan fundraising events, create marketing materials, and implement content strategies. This may include attending special events and going to a multitude of programs and creating content for several different facets of Mission Waco.
REQUIRED HARD SKILLS
Hard Skills:
Ability to operate a DSLR or 4K camera, and proficiency in editing with Adobe Premier. Creating content on design platforms. Social Media knowledge preferred.
REQUIRED SOFT SKILLS
•Flexible attitude, ability to stay organized, willingness to learn.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
•Improve knowledge of marketing and social media in the non-profit sector. Learn multitasking projects between a variety of programs. Gain hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising and donor relations practices. Understand the role of storytelling and communications in advancing a nonprofit organization's mission.
Hourly Rate:
$11•12.50/hour (depending on new or returning student worker status and/or any recognized special skill level)
