Job Description The Marketing Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Marketing Department through administrative support, promotional marketing, public relations assistance, and customer service. This position assists with casino promotions, advertising coordination, and overall marketing operations while maintaining a professional and positive image of the Casino. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Answer and direct incoming calls for the Marketing Department. Handle and screen calls regarding media advertising opportunities including television, radio, newspaper, entertainment, and promotional sales opportunities. Manage and maintain the casino's social media platforms by assisting in creation, scheduling, and publishing engaging content aligned with brand standards and marketing campaigns. Monitor social media engagement, respond to messages/comments when appropriate, and assist in growing online audience interaction and brand awareness. Organize and maintain purchase orders, vouchers, invoices, blue comps and marketing records. Prepare purchase orders and vouchers for approved Marketing Department expenses. Distribute approved marketing and promotional concept forms to department managers. Assist in creation of promotional flyers, signage, and event materials for casino promotions and entertainment events in compliance with casino brand. Distribute approved promotional flyers and materials throughout the casino, lodge, restaurant and local area. Update casino marquee messaging and promotional displays. Assist with the creation and distribution of promotional coupons, player incentives, and marketing materials. Order and maintain marketing department equipment and promotional merchandise. Assist in coordinating promotional schedules and marketing activities with various casino departments. Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive public relations between the Casino and guests, vendors, entertainers, and the public. Assist in identifying new business opportunities, marketing ideas, and promotional products. Support marketing leadership with development and implementation of annual marketing and advertising plans. Solicit business opportunities from tour operators, corporations, associations, and governmental organizations when necessary. Adapts effectively to changing workflows and business needs while remaining flexible and committed to team success. Attend periodic off-site events to represent the property, engage with guests, and distribute promotional items Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related field preferred. 1+ Year of experience in a marketing-related role preferred Experience in marketing, customer service, hospitality, event coordination, or administrative support preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage under Tribal insurance requirements. Maintains respectful communication across all levels of staff. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic graphic design & video editing software Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality. Must be dependable with reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and lift promotional materials as needed. Additional Information Due to the evolving nature of casino operations and marketing initiatives, employees must remain flexible and willing to assume additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
