Posting Details Posting Detail Information Student Requisition Number 2027112STP Job Title Student Affairs Marketing Assistant Number of Positions Available 2 Funded by Federal Workstudy only No Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities The Student Affairs Marketing Assistant plays a key role in promoting student engagement, programs, services, and events across campus. This student position supports the Division of Student Affairs by creating compelling content and assisting with marketing campaigns that enhance the student experience. The Division of Student Affairs includes Campus Recreation/Intramurals, Career Development and Student Engagement, Health Services, Student Outreach and Support, Accessibility Services, Housing and Residence Life, Student Activities, Veteran Services, First Generation Programming, First Year Experiences, and Student Organizations Create engaging marketing content for Student Affairs for but not limited to, social Media posts, flyers, posters, and promotional materials and email content Assist with planning and executing marketing campaigns to promote events, programs, and services Create and maintain records of marketing and promotions implemented for each program Support branding consistency across Student Affairs Work with Creative Services, Marketing, and Communications ( CMCS ) to obtain approval on Student Affairs marketing materials Ensure active marketing and promotional materials are up to date, i.e., removing marketing for past events from bulletin boards, etc. Preferred Qualifications Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Experience in social media campaigns Familiarity with Engage/ CORQ or similar campus engagement platforms Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled student at the university Strong written communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Must be in academic and conduct good standing Preferred Qualifications Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Experience in social media campaigns Familiarity with Engage/ CORQ or similar campus engagement platforms Major in Graphic Design, Marketing, or Communications Notes to Applicant Student Appointment Length Academic Year Base Hourly Rate 10.00-13.00 Quicklink for Posting https://www.fairmontstatejobs.com/postings/11997 Department/Supervision Department Student Affairs Employment Location Main Campus Position will report to (title) Student Affairs Strategic initiative Manager Recruitment/Advertising Anticipated Hire Date 10/01/2026 Job Posting Date 09/07/2026 Job Close Date 11/30/2026
