Job Description
Director of Digital Media
POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Digital Media is responsible for leading, coordinating, and managing the digital media presence of Winfield City Schools. The Director will oversee the creation, production, distribution, and management of digital content that promotes the students, employees, programs, accomplishments, events, and mission of Winfield City Schools. The Director of Digital Media will provide district-wide leadership for online communications and digital storytelling, including, but not limited to, social media platforms, district and school websites, photography, videography, graphic design, video production, livestreaming, and other emerging digital communication platforms. The Director will work directly under the supervision of the Superintendent and will collaborate with administrators, faculty, staff, students, athletic programs, extracurricular organizations, and community partners to ensure that Winfield City Schools maintains a professional, timely, accurate, engaging, and consistent digital presence.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must possess: A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university. A valid teaching certificate. Demonstrated working knowledge of photography and videography. Demonstrated ability to use photo, video, audio, and digital content editing software. Working knowledge of major social media platforms and effective social media practices. Working knowledge of website content management and online publishing. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write, edit, proofread, and publish professional-quality content. Ability to operate cameras, video equipment, microphones, lighting equipment, computers, and related digital media technology. Ability to organize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently. Ability to exercise sound professional judgment when handling sensitive or confidential information. Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, administrators, parents, community members, and outside organizations. Ability and willingness to attend events outside the traditional school day when necessary.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
