Job Summary:
The Associate Brand Manager is a developing general manager within the Business Unit responsible for supporting financial performance and strategic growth initiatives for assigned products or categories. This role blends P&L ownership at a limited scope with pricing, forecasting, category/brand marketing, and insight-driven growth execution. The Associate Brand Manager leads cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and analyze business initiatives that drive volume, profit, and market share objectives. This role requires a strong working knowledge of cost structures, inventory dynamics, capacity considerations, and supply chain trade-offs to effectively influence decisions and mitigate risk.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support achievement of volume, profit, and margin objectives for assigned product categories. Own assigned P&L responsibilities, including analysis of revenue, cost, margin, and profitability drivers. Develop situation assessment inputs for Strategic Planning processes and contribute to financial outlooks.
- Assist in managing inventory health, identifying risks, and partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve supply or demand imbalances.
- Set pricing for assigned products or categories within established governance frameworks. Analyze pricing performance and margin outcomes, recommending adjustments as needed.
- Partner with Marketing Analytics to assess category and consumer dynamics. Use data-driven insights to inform portfolio, pricing, and customer strategies.
- Influence operational and supply decisions by articulating business and financial implications.
- Execute assigned marketing campaign elements, complete draft briefs, monitor campaign performance and provide insights to inform future planning.
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing or related fieldWork Experience:
3+ years relevant and practical experience; Prior experience with food manufacturing or CPG marketing a plus.Special Job Competencies:
- Strong financial and P&L management capabilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective project management and cross-functional leadership skills
- Communicates complex analyses and recommendations clearly to senior managers and partners.
- Regularly interfaces with cross functionals to support projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to leverage reporting and analytics tools to support decision-making
