Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Under the general direction of a College President or designee, plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates college-wide marketing, communications, branding, media relations, and public information activities. Provides leadership in the development and implementation of integrated marketing and communications strategies designed to support enrollment, student engagement, institutional visibility, and awareness of college programs, services, and initiatives. Provides guidance to college leadership regarding institutional communications, branding, public information, and messaging strategies and initiatives. There is currently one full-time (12 months/year, 40 hours/week) vacancy located at Ventura College. This recruitment is being conducted to establish a list of eligible candidates that will be used to fill district-wide, current and upcoming, non-bilingual and bilingual, temporary and regular vacancies for the duration of the list, not to exceed one year.WHERE YOU'LL WORK

Generally, salary placement is on the first step of the salary range. Advanced step placement may be granted depending on related education and experience.Current Employees :
An employee who is promoted will be placed on the salary step of the new range of the appropriate salary schedule that provides a minimum increase comparable to a one-step increase in salary. Develop, implement, and evaluate integrated marketing and communications plans and initiatives designed to support enrollment, student engagement, institutional visibility, and promotion of college programs, services, and initiatives. E Advise college leadership regarding institutional marketing, communications, branding, public information, and messaging strategies. E Direct the development, coordination, and implementation of integrated marketing, branding, advertising, media relations, and public information campaigns across digital, print, social media, web, and other communications platforms. E Plan, organize, and oversee the development and dissemination of marketing and communications materials and content to ensure consistency with established branding, editorial, and communications standards. E Oversee institutional marketing and communications content across websites, social media platforms, publications, digital media, and other communications channels. E Coordinate the development and dissemination of news releases, public statements, and other communications materials for distribution to the public and media outlets. E Coordinate crisis communications, emergency messaging, and sensitive public information activities in collaboration with college leadership and District personnel. E Analyze marketing, communications, and digital engagement data to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and communications initiatives; prepare related reports and recommendations. E Develop and administer budgets related to marketing and communications activities; monitor expenditures and allocate resources in accordance with established guidelines and priorities. E Establish and maintain relationships with educational institutions, community organizations, media representatives, and other stakeholders to support institutional marketing and communications efforts. E Research, evaluate, and recommend marketing, communications, branding, digital engagement, and related technologies and strategies. E Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned employees, set performance requirements and goals, monitor and coach for improvement, promote excellence and customer service, and take disciplinary action if needed according to District rules. E Work collaboratively and professionally with faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, and ethnic communities. E Demonstrate cultural humility, sensitivity, and equity-mindedness in working with individuals from diverse communities; model inclusive behaviors; and achieve equity in assignment-related outcomes.
