POSITION SUMMARY
Sonrise Christian School is seeking a dynamic, creative, and relationship-oriented Marketing Director to lead the marketing, community outreach, and enrollment-growth efforts for the entire school, serving students in Kindergarten through 10th Grade . The Marketing Director will develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy designed to increase community awareness of Sonrise, strengthen the school's reputation and visibility, grow enrollment, and communicate the unique value of a Sonrise Christian education. A major emphasis of the position will be promoting and growing the new Sonrise High School program while continuing to highlight the strengths, programs, activities, and accomplishments of the entire K-10 school. This position will serve as a key ambassador for Sonrise in the local community and will build meaningful relationships with churches, colleges and universities, local businesses, community organizations, families, and prospective students . The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, strategic thinker, relationship builder, and creative marketer who is passionate about Christian education and understands how to connect a school's mission with the families and communities it serves.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES1.
Marketing Strategy & Leadership Develop, implement, and continually evaluate a comprehensive annual marketing and enrollment-growth plan for Sonrise Christian School. Establish marketing goals, priorities, timelines, campaigns, and measurable outcomes. Develop a consistent marketing message and brand identity across the entire school. Coordinate marketing efforts across admissions, academics, athletics, fine arts, student activities, fundraising, and other school programs. Supervise and provide direction to marketing and communications personnel. Manage marketing projects, campaigns, vendors, and outside partners as needed. Monitor marketing trends and identify new opportunities to increase Sonrise's visibility and reach. Track marketing and enrollment data to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and outreach efforts. 2. Enrollment Growth & Community Awareness Lead initiatives designed to increase enrollment across K-10 . Develop strategies for reaching families who may not currently be familiar with Sonrise. Increase awareness of Sonrise within the surrounding communities. Identify target communities, demographics, organizations, and events that provide opportunities for school growth. Develop referral and community outreach strategies that encourage current families to become ambassadors for Sonrise. Work closely with school administration and admissions personnel to create a strong prospective-family experience. Develop campaigns specifically designed to generate inquiries, campus visits, applications, and enrollment. 3. Sonrise High School Development & Promotion Make the growth and visibility of the Sonrise High School program a primary marketing initiative. Develop a long-term strategy for introducing the high school to families, churches, students, and the broader community. Highlight the unique opportunities available to Sonrise high school students, including academics, athletics, fine arts, career and technical education, college preparation, discipleship, and extracurricular programs. Develop promotional materials and campaigns specifically targeting prospective high school families. Help establish Sonrise High School as a recognizable and respected option for Christian families throughout the local area. Develop relationships with middle schools, churches, youth organizations, homeschool communities, and other organizations that may serve as potential sources of high school enrollment. 4. Church & Ministry Partnerships Build and maintain strong relationships with local churches and Christian ministries . Develop a church-outreach strategy that introduces pastors, children's directors, youth pastors, ministry leaders, and families to Sonrise. Identify opportunities for Sonrise to participate in church events, family events, youth events, conferences, camps, and community outreach programs. Develop mutually beneficial partnerships between Sonrise and local churches. Provide churches with appropriate promotional materials and information about Sonrise programs and enrollment opportunities. Explore opportunities for churches and Sonrise to collaborate on events, service projects, student programs, and community outreach. 5. Community Events & Outreach Identify and strategically utilize community events as opportunities to promote Sonrise. Develop a calendar of local events where Sonrise should have a presence. Coordinate Sonrise booths, promotional displays, activities, giveaways, and other outreach efforts. Represent Sonrise at community events and develop relationships with families and community leaders. Pursue opportunities to sponsor or participate in local events that align with the school's mission and target audience. Create creative ways for Sonrise students and staff to become visible and positive representatives of the school within the community. 6. College & University Partnerships Develop relationships with colleges and universities that can benefit Sonrise students and strengthen the high school program. Establish connections with admissions offices, academic departments, athletic programs, career programs, and other appropriate university representatives. Explore opportunities for college visits, guest speakers, dual-enrollment opportunities, college fairs, internships, career exploration, scholarships, and student recruitment. Help create a strong college and career pathway for Sonrise high school students. Promote college acceptance, career opportunities, and post-secondary success as part of the Sonrise High School story. 7. Business & Organizational Partnerships Establish relationships with local businesses, nonprofits, community organizations, and professional organizations . Develop mutually beneficial partnerships that can provide opportunities for Sonrise students and increase community awareness of the school. Explore sponsorship opportunities, internships, job-shadowing experiences, student projects, career speakers, donations, and community partnerships. Develop a network of community partners who can support Sonrise programs and students. Represent Sonrise professionally when meeting with business and community leaders. 8. Digital Marketing & Social Media Develop and oversee a comprehensive digital marketing strategy. Manage and coordinate social media campaigns across appropriate platforms. Highlight student accomplishments, academics, athletics, activities, faculty, alumni, and school events. Develop compelling photo, video, and written content that communicates the Sonrise experience. Oversee website content and recommend improvements to increase engagement and prospective-family inquiries. Utilize email marketing, digital advertising, search marketing, social media, video, and other appropriate channels. Maintain a consistent and professional Sonrise brand across all digital platforms. 9. School Storytelling & Brand Development Identify and communicate the stories that make Sonrise unique. Regularly highlight student achievements, teacher accomplishments, classroom experiences, athletic programs, fine arts, service opportunities, and special events. Develop campaigns that communicate the school's mission, values, culture, and educational philosophy. Ensure that Sonrise is consistently presented as a Christian school providing a strong academic, spiritual, and extracurricular experience . Help develop a recognizable and compelling brand for Sonrise within the local community. 10. Events & Enrollment Campaigns Develop and promote major school marketing events, including: Open Houses Information Nights Preview Days High School Information Nights Campus Tours Community Events Enrollment Campaigns Athletic and Fine Arts Events Fundraising Events Special School Celebrations Create promotional campaigns leading up to major enrollment and community events. Coordinate marketing materials, signage, digital promotion, community outreach, and follow-up.

Experience in school marketing, admissions, enrollment management, nonprofit marketing, church communications, or community relations. Experience managing a marketing team. Experience with social media, digital advertising, website management, photography, and video production. Experience developing community, church, business, or organizational partnerships. Experience working within a Christian school, church, ministry, or other faith-based organization.
