LEARNING & DIGITAL CONTENT DEVELOPER - SOCIAL WELFARE EVALUATION, RESEARCH AND TRAINING CENTER

POSITION SUMMARY:
Full-time, benefited position with the Social Welfare Evaluation, Research, and Training Center (SWERT) through the California State University, Fresno Foundation. The Social Welfare Evaluation, Research and Training Center is a program of the California State University, Fresno Foundation, under the auspices of the College of Health and Human Services, through the Department of Social Work Education. The Academies provide classroom training, coaching and organizational support to adult services and child welfare staff in 12 Central California counties and 12 Bay Area counties. The eLearning & Digital Content Developer is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of digital learning content in collaboration with subject matter experts, information technology staff, and end users. The eLearning & Digital Content Developer has a good understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design models. The position serves as a pivotal point in the development and design process that fosters creative, interactive, effective, and inclusive online eLearning and blended-learning courses. The eLearning & Digital Content Developer also reviews courses after they are loaded into the learning management system, recommends improvements, and partners with the technology team to test functionality and enhance the end-user experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Under the general supervision of the Information Technology Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the following operations. Typical duties include, but are not limited to: Develop, support, and maintain e-learning courses, website content, and micro-learning modules Provide marketing and production support for the SWERT digital media, including graphics, flyers, and other promotional materials Support the creation and dissemination of the ASTA newsletter, including graphics, formatting, and coordination Works collaboratively with the technology team to design and implement an instructional design plan Develop accessible flyers, brochures, and other promotional documents using Canva and Adobe Express in accordance with Fresno State's accessibility guidelines Evaluates instructional design and suggests revisions as necessary Modifies and enhances existing courses Develops interactive instructional learning objectives Creates scripts, storyboards or virtual worlds to teach skills Creates multimedia content including text, images, video and audio to support eLearning Builds and maintains assessment and evaluation instruments Utilizes technology to provide and enhance training Utilize AI tools and platforms to support daily work tasks and various projects, including research, content development, and process efficiency Develop virtual reality (VR) content, including graphics, VR environments, storyboarding, and familiarity with VR authoring tools and platforms, as needed to support immersive learning experiences Ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts to create instructional material Assist with special projects and provide strategic support with all Center staff members Ability to manage deadlines in a diverse environment Research and recommend strategies to enhance the learning experience Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds. Maintain and support a strong commitment to the Center's mission and values Occasional travel within the Central California and Bay Area regions Other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, Accessibility Studies, Educational Technology, or another closely related field involving digital accessibility and instructional design. One (1) or more years of experience developing eLearning courses Comprehensive knowledge and use of software (i.e. Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere, Acrobat), Canva, Adobe Express, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides) Comprehensive knowledge of adult learning theory Strong graphic design capabilities Create courses that are SCORM compliant Excellent written and verbal communication skills - writing, editing, and proofreading Acute awareness of end-user needs Ability to think critically about challenges and opportunities, with strong problem-solving, organizational and decision-making skills Excellent organization and time-management skills Energetic and eager to multitask and tackle new projects and ideas Strong interpersonal skills that demonstrate a collaborative attitude capable of cultivating productive working relationships among teams and across programs Comfortable interacting with individuals with diverse backgrounds and levels of education Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including translating between these groups. Creative, innovative and resourceful Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds Must possess a valid California driver's license and insurance Other duties as assigned
COMPENSATION
$5,500 - $5,916 per month ($66,000 - $70,992 annual). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and 401(k), vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay.
