- Assist in the creation and production of marketing materials, including flyers, brochures, catalogs, posters, advertisements, signage, and other promotional collateral using Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva.
- Support the promotion of classes, workshops, exhibitions, fundraising events, outreach programs, and special events.
- Assist with maintaining marketing calendars and community event listings.
- Help the Director of Marketing prepare materials for email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and digital communications.
- Proofread marketing materials for accuracy, consistency, and brand standards.
- Assist with creating and scheduling content for OTAS social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
- Assists with capturing photos and short-form videos of classes, events, artists, volunteers, and campus activities for marketing purposes.
- Organize and maintain digital photo and video libraries for future promotional use.
- Attend OTAS events, outreach programs, community festivals, and partner events to assist with marketing efforts, photography, and promotional activities.
- Help distribute promotional materials throughout the OTAS campus and at businesses, visitor centers, hotels, libraries, schools, and other community locations throughout the Coachella Valley.
- Represent OTAS professionally while interacting with visitors, community members, artists, volunteers, sponsors, and partner organizations.
- Assist with organizing marketing files, printed materials, promotional inventory, and department supplies.
- Help maintain marketing databases, digital assets, and project files.
- Assist with various administrative and special projects as assigned by the Director of Marketing.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Marketing Department and organizational goals. Qualifications
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with an eye for design and visual storytelling.
- Working knowledge of Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while maintaining quality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Friendly, professional demeanor with strong customer service skills.
- Passion for the arts, education, nonprofit organizations, and community engagement. Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, public relations, or social media.
- Experience with photography, video editing, or content creation.
- Experience working in a nonprofit, arts organization, museum, education, or community- focused environment is a plus. Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry marketing materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions during community events. Work Schedule
- Part-time position with a flexible schedule based on departmental needs.
- Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends for special events, outreach programs, exhibitions, performances, and fundraising activities. Other Responsibilities
