Marketing & Communications Supervisor Big Canyon Country Club | Newport Beach, California Full-time, hourly | $30 to $35 per hour based on experience, plus benefits About the Role This role combines design, communications, and event coverage. You'll be responsible for our monthly newsletter, serve as primary photographer and videographer for club events, maintain and produce marketing materials, support cross-departmental initiatives, and manage digital channels. Core Responsibilities Monthly Newsletter Responsible for end-to-end creation of the club's print and digital monthly newsletter, from content coordination with department heads through design, proofing, and delivery. Maintain editorial calendar, style guide compliance, and manage submission deadlines across the club. Primary Photographer & Videographer Responsible for professional photo and video coverage of tournaments, special events, and member programming, including shooting at live events and editing assets for delivery across newsletter, website, and archival use. Organize and maintain digital asset libraries. Design & Brand Responsible for all print and digital collateral including dining menus for club outlets, signage, brochures, flyers, event materials, and promotional pieces. Ensure brand standards are met across all member-facing materials. Maintain documentation and asset organization. Provide design guidance on branding projects. Cross-Departmental Support Responsible for coordinating design, promotional, and project support across Golf (tournaments, event collateral), Food & Beverage (menu design, sales initiatives), Wellness (special event promotion), and Member Services (member requests and special projects). Manage competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining quality standards. Digital Management Responsible for managing the clubs private Instagram, coordinating website and club app updates, overseeing member communications (email campaigns, digital signage, app notifications), maintaining event calendar accuracy, and ensuring digital consistency across all platforms. What You Bring Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator is a plus) Strong portfolio demonstrating design work, layout, typography, and photography Solid photo and video skills; professional experience shooting live events Excellent written communication and Microsoft Office fluency Professional video editing (Premiere Pro preferred; DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut welcome) Private club, hospitality, or resort experience a plus Schedule Typically Monday-Friday, shifting Tuesday-Saturday for required event coverage. Evening, weekend, and holiday work are not uncommon. Growth Opportunity We're hiring a coordinator but looking for learning and growth potential. Growth into manager role can be expected, with eventual responsibility for training the Member Services team to assist with marketing and communications efforts.
