Overview:
Under the direction of the Senior Director, leads the development and execution of the Airport's marketing, communications, branding, public relations, and community engagement initiatives. The Marketing Manager develops integrated campaigns that support passenger growth, air service development, commercial activity, customer experience, and the Airport's overall strategic goals. The position manages the Airport's public-facing brand and communications channels, coordinates media and stakeholder outreach, supports airline and route marketing, and uses performance data to evaluate campaign effectiveness and strengthen the Airport's market position.
Marketing Manager Job Responsibilities:
Marketing, Brand & Communications

  • Develops and implements the Airport's marketing and communications strategy; manages brand identity, messaging, advertising, promotional campaigns, digital communications, website content, social media, and other public-facing materials.
  • Develops campaigns that increase awareness and utilization of Airport air service, amenities, programs, commercial services, and other initiatives.
  • Ensures consistency of Airport branding and messaging and coordinates creative services, advertising, photography, video, media placement, and other marketing vendors. Bottom of Form Public Relations, Media & Emergency Communications
  • Serves as the Airport's primary marketing and public-relations resource; develops press releases, media advisories, talking points, public statements, and other external communications and coordinates media inquiries with executive leadership and appropriate subject-matter experts.
  • Maintains professional relationships with local and regional media and identifies opportunities to promote Airport accomplishments, projects, programs, economic impact, and community value.
  • Serves as the Airport's designated Public Information Officer (PIO), when assigned, during aircraft emergencies and other emergency events; coordinates with the Executive Director, Incident Command, Public Safety, airlines, and responding agencies to manage media inquiries and disseminate accurate, timely, and approved public information.   • Partners with the Air Service Manager to develop marketing and promotional strategies supporting existing and new air service, including service launches, schedule changes, airline promotions, and community education.
  • Provides marketing, audience, and promotional insights supporting air-service and growth initiatives while the Air Service Manager retains primary responsibility for airline relationships, route development, and air-service performance.
  • Supports commercial and revenue-development initiatives through targeted marketing, advertising, and communications. Community, Customer & Organizational Communications
  • Provides marketing and communications support for community outreach, Airport events, sponsorships, tourism and economic-development partnerships, and other stakeholder initiatives led by the Executive Director or Senior Director.
  • Partners with the Customer Experience Manager to communicate Airport services, amenities, passenger information, and completed experience improvements while Customer Experience retains responsibility for passenger satisfaction, feedback, complaints, service recovery, and experience improvements.
  • Provides communications support for organization-wide initiatives in collaboration with the appropriate department leader and coordinates with the Senior Director and Senior Human Resources Generalist when communications involve employees, culture, training, benefits, policies, personnel matters, or employee engagement. Digital Content, Analytics & Accessibility
  • Manages Airport digital content and monitors marketing-focused KPIs, including campaign effectiveness, website traffic, digital engagement, media reach, audience trends, advertising performance, and promotional response.
  • Prepares regular marketing performance reports, evaluates campaign results, and recommends adjustments to improve effectiveness and use of resources.
  • Coordinates with the Airport's IT provider and other appropriate resources to support accessible website content and public-facing digital communications. Budget, Administration & Organizational Support
  • Assists with development and administration of the marketing budget and monitors marketing expenditures, vendors, contracts, and procurement of marketing-related goods and professional services.
  • Provides marketing, communications, promotional, and logistical support for Airport community events, stakeholder initiatives, meetings, and public outreach activities as directed by the Executive Director or Senior Director.
  • Maintains professional knowledge of aviation, tourism, transportation, marketing, public relations, digital communications, and emerging industry practices and supports special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
Marketing Manager Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, sound professional judgment, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with executives, employees, airlines, media representatives, community partners, vendors, and the general public.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Aviation Management, or a closely related field and a minimum of three years of progressively responsible professional experience in marketing, communications, public relations, digital media, brand management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in aviation, transportation, tourism, hospitality, economic development, public-sector communications, or a similarly complex customer-facing organization is preferred.
Professional Licenses, Certifications & Training:
Professional certification in marketing, public relations, digital communications, or a related discipline is preferred but not required. Public Information Officer and applicable Incident Command System training is preferred at the time of hire and may be required within a designated period following appointment. Certified Member (C.M.) certification is preferred but not required.
Travel Required:
Occasional travel may be required for conferences, professional development, meetings, or other Airport business. Security /
Employment Requirements:
The selected individual must be able to successfully complete applicable airport security requirements, including a TSA Security Threat Assessment and fingerprint-based background check, as required for airport access.
