This position manages the Chamber's digital platforms, including social media, websites, email newsletters, and digital publications, while supporting consistent branding and messaging across the Chamber and Choose Macon. The Director serves as day-to-day lead for the Chamber's digital marketing efforts, working closely with the VP of Communications to translate organizational priorities, programs, advocacy efforts, and talent initiatives into coordinated digital campaigns and content that increase awareness, engagement and action. Responsibilities Social Media Management Manage the Chamber's social media presence, including content creation, scheduling, publishing, community engagement and platform optimization in coordination with the Vice President of Communications and Chamber departments. Website Management Manage and maintain the Greater Macon Chamber and Choose Macon websites, including program information, news, resources, routine content updates and basic SEO and accessibility best practices. Email Marketing Produce and manage the Chamber's portfolio of email communications, including newsletters, audience segmentation, scheduling, list maintenance and performance monitoring. Digital Campaigns Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns supporting Chamber programs, Investor engagement, advocacy, workforce initiatives and Choose Macon, including organic and paid promotion where appropriate, in coordination with the Vice President of Communications. Creative & Multimedia Content Create graphics, digital assets, photography, video and other content for social media, websites, newsletters, campaigns, presentations, programs and publications while maintaining established Chamber and Choose Macon brand standards. Analytics & Optimization Monitor social media, website, email and campaign performance; prepare regular reports; identify trends; and make recommendations to improve reach, engagement and overall effectiveness. Content & Production Coordination Maintain digital content calendars and coordinate with Chamber staff and departments to collect information, deadlines, images, assets and approvals needed to keep communications accurate, timely and on schedule. Publications & Brand Management Support the design and production of major digital and print publications, including the annual Book of Business and Greater Guide, in coordination with the Vice President of Communications and appropriate Chamber staff, while ensuring consistent application of Chamber and Choose Macon brand standards. Digital Systems & Asset Management Maintain organized digital assets, templates, distribution lists, marketing platforms and related resources while identifying opportunities to improve workflow and efficiency through evolving digital tools and technology. Organizational & Program Support Maintain professional and collaborative relationships with Chamber Investors, Board members, community partners, vendors and other stakeholders. Assist with Chamber programs and special initiatives as needed, including occasional work outside normal business hours. Perform other duties as required and assigned. Requirements Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, graphic design, digital media, or a related field preferred. Portfolio or work samples required. Professional references required. Skills & Experience 2+ years of relevant experience in digital marketing, communications, social media, graphic design, or a related field, which may include relevant coursework, internships, or practical experience gained while completing a related degree. Demonstrated experience managing organizational social media, websites and email marketing platforms. Some experience managing and updating websites, preferably WordPress or similar content management systems. Experience developing and distributing email marketing campaigns and newsletters. Strong graphic design and multimedia content skills, with proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar platforms. Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with an understanding of brand voice. Working knowledge of digital analytics, campaign performance and basic SEO principles, with the ability to use performance data to improve communications and marketing efforts. Basic photography and videography skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, publications, platforms, and deadlines simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, email marketing platforms, contact databases, and other digital marketing tools. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a willingness to learn and adapt to evolving digital platforms and technology.
