What You'll DoOversee daily market operations, including opening and closing procedures, staffing, workflow, and overall presentation.
Recruit, train, schedule, and manage market and coffee bar employees.
Lead by example and create a positive, professional, and welcoming team culture.
Deliver an exceptional customer experience for both local customers and visitors.
Manage inventory levels, ordering, receiving, restocking, and product organization.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local farmers, makers, vendors, and suppliers.
Oversee merchandising and ensure the market is consistently beautiful, organized, stocked, and inviting.
Monitor product performance and help identify new products and opportunities.
Work closely with ownership on purchasing, pricing, promotions, seasonal offerings, and market strategy.
Help establish and maintain operational procedures and standards.
Support events, classes, promotions, and other initiatives that bring customers into the market.
Maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, food and beverage safety, and overall facility presentation.
Help manage labor and operating costs while supporting sales and profitability goals.

Have previous retail, hospitality, market, or store management experience.
Have experience leading, scheduling, training, and developing employees.
Are highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
Are confident working with inventory, vendors, purchasing, and merchandising.
Have a strong eye for presentation and understand how thoughtful merchandising contributes to the customer experience.
Are comfortable using point-of-sale and basic business management systems.
Are proactive and able to solve problems without waiting to be told what to do.
Communicate clearly and professionally with employees, vendors, customers, and ownership.
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and aren't afraid to jump in and help your team.
Have an appreciation for local agriculture, thoughtfully made products, sustainability, food, coffee, and hospitality.
