(d/b/a FireNote)
Director, Product Marketing Location:

VP of Revenue Salary Range:
$130,000 - $160,000
Team:
Individual contributor leader as a hands-on, builder role, with direct access and influence to the leadership team. About FireNote FireNote is a purpose-built EMR platform for hospice and palliative care clinicians. Unlike legacy EMRs adapted from home health workflows, FireNote was built from the ground up alongside hospice clinicians, around the real-world workflows, challenges, and realities of delivering care. Our proven track record demonstrates that FireNote gives clinicians more time with patients and less time fighting their software. We're a lean, fast-moving team building category-defining software for a growing corner of healthcare. This role will play a foundational part in how the market understands who we are and why FireNote is different. The Opportunity FireNote is hiring its first dedicated Director, Product Marketing. This is a rare opportunity to build the product marketing function from the ground up at a company with real product-market fit, a differentiated technology story, and significant runway for growth. You'll own positioning, messaging, competitive intelligence, sales enablement, and go-to-market strategy for new features and releases. This role bridges the missions of Product, Sales, and Marketing, and is highly cross-functional. You'll work hand-in-hand with the Product, Sales, and Client Success leadership to translate what FireNote builds into a story the market, and our sales team, can sell. What You'll Do Positioning, Messaging & Narrative Own and continuously refine FireNote's core positioning and messaging, anchored in customer, prospect, and win/loss insight. Translate clinical and operational value (faster charting, better care plan adherence, cleaner billing/claims) into messaging that resonates with each buyer: clinicians, agency owners/executives, and finance/operational leaders. Develop and maintain core messaging documents, positioning frameworks, and a company narrative that stays consistent across web, sales, and marketing. Competitive & Market Intelligence Build and maintain competitive battlecards and positioning against legacy hospice/home-health-adapted EMRs and point solutions. Monitor the hospice EMR and broader post-acute care software landscape; turn market and regulatory shifts (e.g., CMS/hospice policy changes) into actionable input for product and GTM. Run structured win/loss analysis and synthesize findings into concrete recommendations for messaging, packaging, and sales strategy. Product Launches & Go-to-Market Own end-to-end GTM planning and execution for new features and releases — from early positioning input during product development through launch messaging, enablement, and customer communication. Partner with Product on roadmap input, ensuring customer and market signals make it back into prioritization discussions. Partner with the GTM team to activate positioning in the market, from sales narratives through product launches. Ensure launches reflect established positioning and customer feedback, while collaborating with GTM on enablement.. Sales Enablement Build and maintain the core sales toolkit alongside sales leadership: pitch decks, one-pagers, ROI/value calculators, demo scripts, objection-handling guides, and competitive comparisons. Partner with Sales leadership to identify enablement gaps and iterate on materials based on what's actually working (or not) in the field. Train and support the sales team directly on new messaging, features, and competitive positioning. Content & Demand Gen Support Working with the existing marketing department to create high-impact content including website copy, case studies, customer testimonials, sales collateral, webinar content, and select thought leadership. Represent the voice of the client with marketing content based in real clinician and agency-owner language. Customer & Market Insight Regularly engage directly with users (clinicians, agency leadership) to stay fluent in how FireNote is actually used and valued. Partner with Account Management and Client Success to fuel both marketing and sales through client advocacy which includes reference clients, case studies, and testimonials What We're Looking ForExperience Bachelor's Degree in related or adjacent field. 6-8 years in product marketing, with meaningful time in B2B SaaS; healthcare IT, health tech, or EMR/EHR experience strongly preferred given the specialized buyer and regulatory context. Track record operating as a senior individual contributor at a high-growth startup and comfortable being a "player," not just a strategist. Experience marketing to a clinical or highly specialized end-user audience alongside a separate economic buyer (e.g., clinician as user, agency owner/CFO as buyer) is highly relevant to FireNote's dynamic. Skills & Attributes Excellent written communication with an ability to turn complex clinical/technical capability into clear, differentiated, buyer-ready messaging. Strong cross-functional collaborator; able to build trusted working relationships with Product, Sales, and executive leadership without formal authority over any of them. Comfortable with ambiguity and a lean team; willing to build process, not just execute against someone else's.
Data-informed:
comfortable using pipeline, bookings, close lost, and campaign data to justify prioritization and demonstrate impact. Genuine curiosity about hospice care and healthcare operations; empathy for clinicians and hospice agency staff is a real asset in this position and market. Bonus Points Familiarity with hospice, home health, or post-acute care regulatory and reimbursement dynamics (Medicare/Medicaid hospice benefit, claims/billing workflows). Experience marketing an AI-enabled or AI-differentiated product, and comfort explaining AI capability credibly
Pay:
$130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
Benefits:
