Job Description
About the role We're looking for someone to be both the face and the engine behind our video content. You'd be shooting, hosting, interviewing people, and cutting it all into short videos for social. If you're already doing this work, great. If you're just getting started but you've got the personality and the drive, we'll train you — we care more about attitude and reliability than a résumé. What you'd be doing Shooting video on location around the Rockford area Hosting on camera — intros, walkthroughs, whatever the piece calls for Interviewing people: customers, staff, partners, local folks Basic editing — trim, captions, music, get it ready to post Posting and helping manage social content Bringing ideas. We want someone with opinions about what people would actually watch What we're looking for Comfortable on camera and comfortable talking to strangers Warm and social — that comes through on video, and it's most of the job Reliable. Shows up on time, communicates clearly, does what they said they'd do Basic editing ability (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci — whatever you know) Some familiarity with how social platforms work Based in the greater Rockford area, northern side preferred. Reliable transportation Nice to have, not required Familiarity with various camera gear Photography, graphics, or lighting/audio experience Anything you've made that you can show us The details Starts as 1099 contract work, with the intention of growing into a part-time or full-time role $2,500-$4500/month depending on experience, capability, and results Mix of flexible daytime hours and some evenings or weekends for events Training provided for the right person How to apply Tell us a bit about yourself and send along anything you've made — phone videos are fine. If you don't have anything yet, record a 60-second video introducing yourself and telling us why you'd be good at this. If you don't have time for a video, a cover letter telling us about yourself would be great. Solo resumes are likely to be ignored due to volume.
Pay:
